Mr. Moyer reviewed the Ordinance, a copy of which he provided each member of the
Committee. He discussed that, according to the Ordinance, the Committee should be
reporting to City Council describing the activities and programs in which the Veterans are
involved. He mentioned the many activities that require commitments by the veteran
volunteers and the need to spread the word that some of the meals and benefits are open
to members of the community in general, notjust veterans. Mr. Haskins emphasized that
more recognition should be given to the volunteers who do so much for the veterans.
