PUBLIC COMMENT PERIOD NOTICE
2019-2024 CONSOLIDATED AND ACTION PLANNING
The City of Sebastian is developing a Consolidated Plan and Action Plan for entitlement CDBG
requirements. The City is seeking input from potential stakeholders and the public on the needs of
low-income citizens. Approximately $120,000 per year of funding is available to the City for
improvements that benefit low income citizens of the City. These funds must be used for one of the
following purposes:
1. To benefit low income persons; or
2. To aid in the prevention or elimination of slums or blight; or
3. To meet other community development needs of a particular urgency because existing
conditions pose a serious and immediate threat to the health or welfare of the community
A public hearing was held for community organizations and the public to provide input into the
consolidated plan. A draft plan has been developed based upon those comments. Activities proposed
include housing repairs for veterans, sidewalks and pedestrian malls within the Community
Redevelopment Area, flood and drainage improvements in LMI areas as well as other activities
outlined in the draft plan for public comment.
The public is invited to review the draft consolidated plan posted on the web at
www.cityofsebastian.org or to view hard copy by contacting Ms. Lisa Frazier, Community
Development Director at phone: (772) 388-8228 or email: lfrazier@cityofsebastian.org. Written
comments can be provided to Ms. Lisa Frazier.
