MAINTEANCE AS REQUIRED BY THE FEDERAL NPDES GENERAL PERMIT FOR STORMWATER
DISCHARGES FROM CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES.
2.CONSTRUCTION AND STABILIZATION OF DETENTION AREAS WHEN APPLICABLE SHALL OCCUR PRIOR
TO OTHER EARTHWORK OPERATIONS. THE DETENTION BASINS SHALL BE CONSTRUCTED AND
STABILIZED SO AS TO ACT AS SEDIMENT BASINS PRIOR TO DISCHARGE OF STORMWATER FROM ANY
PORTION OF THE DISTURBED SITE. ALL STORMWATER RUNOFF FROM THE CONSTRUCTION
ACTIVITIES SHALL BE DIRECTED TO THE DETENTION AREA .
3.DISTURBED AREAS WHERE CONSTRUCTION HAS PERMANENTLY OR TEMPORARILY CEASED MUST BE
STABILIZED WITHIN 14 DAYS OF THE LAST DISTURBANCE.
4.ALL SEDIMENT AND EROSION CONTROL MEASURES SHALL MEET THE CITY OF SEBASTIAN
REQUIREMENTS AS FOLLOWS:
a. SOIL STOCKPILES SHALL BE STABILIZED AND PROTECTED WITH SEDIMENT TRAPPING
MEASURES FOR WIND AND WATER EROSION AND NOT TALLER THAN 6" IN RESIDENTIAL AREAS.
b. CONCENTRATED RUNOFF SHALL NOT FLOW DOWN SLOPES UNLESS PROTECTED WITH TEMPORARY
OR PERMANENT CHANNEL, FLUME OR SLOPE DRAIN STRUCTURE.
c. SEDIMENT SALL BE PREVENTED FROM ENTERING ANY STORM DRAIN SYSTEM, DITCH OR
CHANNEL, ALL STORM INLETS THAT ARE MADE OPERABLE DURING CONSTRUCTION, SHALL BE
PROTECTED WITH ADEQUATE FILTER DEVICES.
d. EEFORE TEMPORARY OR NEWLY CONSTRUCTED STORMWATER CONVEYANCE CHANNELS ARE MADE
OPERABLE, ADEQUATE TEMPORARY CONVEYANCE/RECEIVING CHANNELS ARE REQUIRED.
e. UNDERGROUND UTILITY LINES SHALL BE INSTALLED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE FOLLOWING
f. N'0 MORE THAN 500 FEET OF TRENCH SHALL BE OPEN AT ONE TIME
g. EXCAVATED MATERAL SHALL BE PLACED IN THE UPHILL SIDE OF THE TRENCH
h. EFFLUENT FROM DEWATERING SHALL BE FILTERED OR PASSED THROUGH A DETENSION BASIN
THAT NO SEDIMENTS ARE VISABLE IN THE OFFSITE DISCHARGE.
i. TRANSPORT OF SEDIMENT TO PUBLIC STREETS SHALL BE MINIMIZED BY PROVIDING A GRAVEL
APRON AND STABILIZED TEMPORARY ACCESS ROUTE AND "SHALL BE CLEANED THOROUGHLY AT
THE END OF EACH DAY.
j. SEDIMENT AND EROSION PROTECTION CONTROLS SHALL BE INSPECTED AND MAINTAINED
REGULARLY.
5.IN ADDITION TO THE SEDIMENT AND EROSION PROTECTION CONTROLS REQUIRED PER PLAN,
CONTRACTOR SHALL PROVIDE CONTROLS NECESSARY TO PROTECT OFFSITE DISCHARGE FROM
CARRYING SEDIMENTS RESULTING FROM CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES.
6.HAY BALES, SILT SCREENS OR SIMILAR DEVICES ARE TO BE USED TO PREVENT CONSTRUCTION

SHALL BE AS RECOMMENDED BY MANUFACTURER.
5. STARTER FERTILIZER SHALL BE 6-6-6, 100% ORGANIC, WITH MINOR ELEMENTS. THIS FERTILIZER SHALL HAVE -40%-50% OF ITS TOTAL NITROGEN
IN A WATER -INSOLUBLE FORM.
6. LAWN AREAS SHALL BE TREATED WITH FERTILIZER APPLIED AT A RATE OF TWENTY (20) POUNDS PER 1000 SQUARE FEET.
7. ALL PLANT BEDS SHALL BE TOP DRESSED WITH 2-3" SHREDDED MELALEUCA BARK OR CYPRESS BARK MULCH.
8. METHODS OF TREE STAKING INDICATED ON THE DRAWINGS ARE SUGGESTIONS ONLY. THE LANDSCAPE CONTRACTOR SHALL USE WHATEVER
