DETOUR PLAN '4- G:7G58 1. The Contractor shall at all times maintain existing Main St. open to traffic. 2. The Contractor shall submit his proposed detour plan to the / Engineer for approval prior to beginning construction. h 3 GENERAL NOTES 1. Contractor is responsible for checking actual site conditions before starting construction. 2. Any discrepancies on the drawings shall be brought to the attention of the Engineer before commencing work. 3. All overhead power lines within the limits of the proposed Main St. Re -alignment are to be installed underground. The contractor shall coordinate the roadway construction with Florida Power and Light. 4. Contractor shall be responsible for location of all existing utilities. The Contractor shall contact all concerned utilities at least 48 hours in advance for construction operations. 5. No field changes or deviations from design to be made without prior approval of the Engineer. 6. All construction shall be complete in accordance with the applicable ordinances of City of Sebastian, Florida. 7. Refer to soils report prepared by Empire Engineering and Testing, Inc., dated 02/06/90 for existing soil conditions. fi. All density tests shall be performed per ASSHTO T-180 method. 9. Contractor shall supply density test to Engineer on all sub - grade and base work. 10. Slope grades from elevations shown to existing grade at right-of-way line. 11. Engineer shall be notified at least 48 hours in advance for any inspection. 12. All existing elevations shown on the plan and profile.drawings refer to U.S.C. & G.S. (1929 Datum), now referred to as N.G.V.D. Survey information provided by James A. Fowler Land Surveyors, January 2, 1990. 13. All striping and signage shall be in accordance with the Florida Department of Transportation Traffic Operation Standards. 14. All unsuitable material with poor percolation, such as hard pan clay and silty -sands, shall be removed within the areas of the proposed drainage swales and replaced with good clean orange sand. 15. Installation of sub -surface storm drainage must be completed prior to compaction of sub -grade and roadway construction. 16. Grassed areas shall be seeded and mulched except where other- wise noted. Sod around all structures and throughout retention swales to 5' from top of banks. The detour plan signs, signals, barricades, etc. shall be in O accordance with the Florida Department of Transportation Road-�- way Standards and the U.S. Department of Transportation Federal Highway Administration "Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices for Streets and Highways" (MUTCD).� SITE DATA: Overall: a. ALL WORK SHALL COMPLY WITH ING REQUIRED INSPECTIONS AND SHALL SUPPLY ALL EQUIPMENT NECESSARY TO THE CURRENT EDITION OF THE AMERICAN CONCRETE INSTITUTE (ACI) BUILDING CODE PROPERLY TEST AND INSPECT THE COMPLETED WORK. AND THE APPLICABLE BUILDING CODES HAVING JURISDICTION IN THE AREA. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL GUARANTEE ALL WORK AND MATERIALS FOR A PERIOD OF CULVERT PIPES ONE YEAR FROM THE DATE OF PROJECT ACCEPTANCE, DURING WHICH ALL FAULTY CONSTRUCTION AND/OR MATERIALS SHALL BE CORRECTED AT THE CONTRACTOR'S REINFORCED CONCRETE PIPE (R.C.P.) SHALL BE IN ACCORDANCE WITH SECTION 941 EXPENSE. OF THE STANDARD SPECIFICATIONS. GRADING PRECAST INLETS THE CONTRACTOR SHALL PERFORM ALL GRADING NECESSARY TO ACHIEVE THE PROPOSED ALL STORM INLETS SHALL BE PRECAST REINFORCED CONCRETE IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE PLAN GRADES INCLUDING TYPICAL SECTIONS. DETAILS SHOWN HEREIN THE PROJECT DETAILS. TYPE II PORTL.AND CEMENT°SHALL BE USED IN THE CONCRETE MIX. CITE SHALL HAVE A MINIMUM COMPRESSIVE STRENGTH ALL WORK SHALL BE IN ACCORDANCE WITH SECTION 120 OF THE STANDARD SPECI- AT 28 DAYS OF 4000 P.S.I. FICATIONS. STAKING RECORD DRAWINGS CONSTRUCTION STAKING WILL BE PERFORMED BY THE CONTRACTOR. CONTRACTOR SHALL KEEP AND MAINTAIN RECORD DRAWINGS ON THE PROJECT SITE AT ALL TIMES WHICH SHALL BE ANNOTATED BY THE CONTRACTOR DEPICTING ANY CHANGES MADE STABILIZING IN THE FIELD WHICH DIFFER FROM THE CONTRACT DRAWINGS. RECORD DRAWINGS SHALL INCLUDE, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, INVERT AND TOP ELEVATIONS OF CULVERTS AND INLET STABILING SUBGRADE SHALL BE CONSTRUCTED TO THE FLORIDA BEARING VALUE AS PER STRUCTURES.
