NOTES:
1 Backfill to be compacted in 6" lifts to 95% AASHTO T-99
Backfill shall be clean free draining granular material free of
organic material. Backfill soils shall have an angle of internal
friction of 300 or greater.
2 Filter Fabric per FDOT index 199 Type I D-2 (Mirafi 140N or
Equal).
3 Work shall be performed in accordance with manufacture's
specifications, as provided for by NCMA, and in accordance
with FDOT Standard Specifications For Road and Bridge
Construction Current Ed.
4 These plans are designed specifically for use at the canal
grading wall at Fleming St. between Wimbrow Dr. & Layport
Dr. Sebastian, FI. No other location is intended, implied or
authorized.
5 Contractor shall contact appropriate utilities for underground
locations prior to any excavation.
6 The elevations and slopes at the top of wall and toe of wall
are an integral part of the structural design of these plans
and must be incorporated into the work. The elevations and
slopes of the ground lines and horizontal locations shown on
these plans must be approved by the site engineer prior to
incorporating the wall into the civil plans.
7 Erosion protection for the grading is not part of these plans
and no consideration for erosion has been taken unless
specifically addressed in these plans.
8 Collum Engineering, Inc. has not been employed to
investigate the efficacy of the existing seawall and makes no
assertion regarding loads imposed by additional surcharge.
Structural adequacy of the existing seawall is the
responsibility of others.
