NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARINGS
CITY OF SEBASTIAN
CHARTER REVIEW COMMITTEE
The City of Sebastian Charter Review Committee will conduct two public hearings on
recommendations to amend the City Charter on Thursday, April 8th and Tuesday, April 27th,
2021, both to be held at 6:00 p.m. in the City Council Chambers, 1225 Main Street, Sebastian,
Florida. Members of the public are invited to attend and provide input. Social distancing,
face coverings, and a temperature check will be required.
Additionally, a Zoom address will be listed on the agenda prior to the meeting for those who
wish to participate virtually.
Minutes of previous Charter Review Committee meetings are available in the Office of the
City Clerk and on the City website www.citvofsebastian.orct. Please contact the City Clerk's
Office for information at 388-8215.
The Charter Review Committee will present their recommendations to the City Council on
May 12th. City Council will consider the recommendations on May 12th and direct staff
accordingly. If City Council concurs with placement of any amendments to the Charter on
the November ballot, they will consider the amendments by ordinance at first reading on May
26th and second reading, public hearing on June 9th , 2021.
The hearings will be broadcasted live on Comcast Channel 25, Facebook Live and through
the City's YouTube Channel.
No stenographic record by a certified court reporter will be made of the foregoing hearing. Any person who decides to
appeal any decision made by the Committee with respect to any matter considered at this hearing will need to ensure that
a verbatim record of the proceedings is made, which record includes the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal
