CHARTER REVIEW COMMITTEE
MEETING MINUTES
WEDNESDAY, MAY 19, 2021 - 6:00 P.M.
CITY COUNCIL CHAMBERS
1225 MAIN STREET, SEBASTIAN, FLORIDA
Chair Mitchell called the Charter Review Committee meeting to order at 6:00 p.m.
The Pledge of Allegiance was recited

COMMENCE CHARTER REVIEW COMMITTEE MEETING
A. ADDroval of Minutes -April 27. 2021 Meetina
MOTION by Mr. Napier and SECOND by Ms. Cards to approve the April 27, 2021
minutes passed with unanimous voice vote. (11-0)
CONSIDERATION OF DISOLUTION
Chair Mitchell announced that the committee held two public hearings and went before
City Council to present their eight recommendations. Chair Mitchell asked for a motion
to dissolve the committee.
MOTION by Mr. Napier and SECOND by Ms. Cards to dissolve the committee passed
with unanimous voice vote. (11-0)
6. COMMENTS FROM THE CHAIR
Chair Mitchell thanked everyone for the opportunity to lead the group. She was able to
revisit people she worked with for years and enjoyed meeting the new people that
moved into the community in the past couple of years. She said the common ground of

the committee was that they were all there for the benefit of the citizens of Sebastian.
She encouraged everyone to stay active and slay involved.
COMMITTEE MEMBER COMMENTS
John Christine thanked Chair Mitchell and said she did a terrific job bringing the group
together and for being organized and keeping everyone on track.
Grace Reed also thanked Chair Mitchell. This was her first time working with a
committee like this and she is looking forward to doing it again in five years.
Being no further business Chair Mitchell adjourned the Charter Review Meeting at
6:05pm.
