Beginning January 2024 there are several events planned which include the Fine Arts and Music Festival, Shrimpfest & Craft Brew Hullabaloo, Clam Bake Lagoon Festival, Sebastian River Art Club, Craft Club of Sebastian, the Chamber of Commerce Concerts in the Park, the Earth Day Celebration, Fourth of July Parade, Christmas Parade and a Centennial Birthday Party in Riverview Park on Sunday December 8, 2024. This is an exciting time to decide the direction the City would like to take when educating the public about the rich history of Sebastian and what life was like during the past 100 years. We are very lucky to have wonderful resources detailing the history of Sebastian and the special people who made Sebastian the great city that it is today. The Society will not be meeting during July or August but will be happy to discuss how we may assist the City during the centennial year at our September 12� meeting. Attached is the light post flag that I was thinking of for Indian River Dr., other roadways as well, to fly in 2024 leading up to the December celebration. My thought was that with certain level sponsorships, they would have a flag with their company or family name at the bottom for exposure and thanks for their support. 2. Although I do not know how to do this, Britney had at one time interviewed local business owners leading up to an event that was a Facebook live kind of thing. I thought maybe interviewing our local business sponsors to discuss their love of operating in the City of Sebastian, etc. It can be a perk of certain sponsorship levels and run periodically on Facebook during 2024. 3. Presenting sponsor possibility is Triton Submarines. Such a cool company operating right in our backyard with deep pockets. Just a thought. 4. In recognition of our sponsors, perhaps a dinner or cocktail hour (cheap) getting closer to December where for a certain sponsor level they get some tickets for free. We can have the event program prepared and available for that night. Are we making an event program inhouse or contracted out for a higher quality finish? I am not sure of the vision. I have our Pelican Cup Program that was done inhouse for a sample. S. For sponsor solicitation, will we be doing a mailing to local businesses or relying on phone calls and advertising a call to action through our various websites and maybe Sebastian Daily? 6. Maybe an "exclusive" media sponsor with Sebastian Daily? I am not sure of other media platforms specific to Sebastian. I am sorry for tieing all over the place and apologize if some of this was addressed at the last meeting.
