Annexation
Dear Chairman O'Bryan and Commissioners:
During the May 25, 2022 Regular City Council Meeting, City Council passed on first reading
Ordinance No. 0-22-07 regarding the annexation of 1984.22 acres and set a public hearing for
September 14, 2022. Subsequently, City Council moved the previously scheduled council
meeting to September 13 to accommodate the County's budget hearing on September 14.
Pursuant to F.S.171.044(6), please find enclosed a September 13a' public hearing notice for the
voluntary annexation of 1984.22 acres, more or less, located south of County Road 510 ROW,
west of lands adjacent to the 74th Avenue ROW, north of the 69th Street ROW, and east of
90th Avenue ROW. This property is also known as the Graves Brothers Annexation.
It is the City's intent to continue our efforts in drafting an annexation agreement and work out
the future land use and density with the property owner and interested parties. All Legal
Notices will be advertised in compliance with Florida Statute and City Codes to ensure public
participation and transparency.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
FOR VOLUNTARY ANNEXATION
CITY OF SEBASTIAN, FLORIDA
The City Council of the City of Sebastian, Indian River County, Florida, has received a petition for
voluntary annexation, and therefore proposes to consider the following ordinance:
ORDINANCE NO. 0-22-07
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SEBASTIAN, FLORIDA, PROVIDING FOR
THE VOLUNTARY ANNEXATION FOR LAND CONSISTING OF 1984.22 ACRES,
MORE OR LESS, LOCATED SOUTH OF COUNTY ROAD 510 ROW, WEST OF
LANDS ADJACENT TO THE 74TH AVE ROW, NORTH OF 69TH STREET ROW,
AND EAST OF 90th AVE ROW; PROVIDING FOR THE EXTENSION OF THE
CORPORATE LIMITS AND BOUNDARIES THEREOF; PROVIDING FOR
INTERIM LAND USE AND ZONING CLASSIFICATION; PROVIDING FOR
SCRIVENER'S ERRORS; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICT AND SEVERABILITY;
AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
A public hearing on the ordinance will be held on Tuesday, September 13, 2022, at 6:00 p.m. in the City
Council Chambers, City Hall, 1225 Main Street, Sebastian.
Following the public hearing, the City Council may adopt this ordinance to annex the property as shown
in the map below and generally described in the ordinance title above:

Interested parties may inspect the proposed ordinance and the complete legal description of the property
by metes and bounds in the Community Development Department at City Hall, Monday through Friday
8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and may appear at the hearing and be heard with respect to the proposed ordinance.
Any person who may wish to appeal any decision which may be made by the City Council at this hearing
will need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made which record includes the testimony
and evidence upon which the appeal will be based. (F.S.286.0105)
