Opening in outside wall needs to be sealed around outside air vent in Grinding/Sanding room. 11. Provide missing hardware for storm panel installation. 12. Final Landscape inspection from Growth Management Department and any required documentation. 13. Final documentation to close out permit including final survey, final termite treatment, final Engineering inspection. Wind loads shown on plans and metal building manufacturer's specifications are designed for 140 mph exposure-B. FBC sect. 1609.4 calls for the building to be exposure-C when adjacent to exposure-C type terrain for a distance of more than 600 ft. A special inspector is required for the inspection of the structural steel building components including any screwed, bolted and/or welded connections. Please submit a sealed letter of intent from the engineer or architect who will be performing these duties. A final certification will be required prior to the final building inspection. Steel building shop drawings did not include the covered walkway. These shop drawings shall be submitted under separate cover and shall be engineered, signed and sealed and be designed to 135 m.p.h. Exposure C wind loads. As discussed, this shall not delay the issuance of the building permit. 4. Detail 1 sheet 305 for 1 hr. wall shows drywall to be screwed to top track and pressed tight against the insulation. The insulation is a flammable material that should not be part of the fire rated assembly. Need to follow the U.L. design shown with detail 4 sheet 304 and provide details on how the assembly will be sealed against the corrugated roof deck. Please clarify. Response: As discussed, the grinding/sanding room is actually not required to be 1-hour rated per code. We were proposing this as an additional safety feature. Since not actually required, we would like to keep this design as presently shown. 5. Product approvals are required for exhaust and intake louvers. Plan sheet 302 shows Ruskin product approval 06-0602.04 in product approval schedule but this was not submitted. Response: Louver product approvals sf pll be submitted under separate cover, but as agreed, will not delay issuance of the building permit. 6. Plans appear to show the intake louvers installed in the large overhead hangar door. We have not received product approval for the overhead door to date. However, unless the door is designed with louvers in the door, installing the louvers in the door may void the product approval unless the door was specifically engineered and tested for that purpose. Response: Hangar door approvals shall also be submitted under separate cover and shall be engineered to incorporate the proposed louvers. This will not void the wind requirements for this door. Plans from Delta Fire Sprinkler have already been submitted to the Building Department and released to us by Wayne Eseltine. As soon as we receive the plan review fee for IRC Fire Rescue, they will be submitted to your department. 2. The Digital Alarm Communication Transmitter is now shown on sheet 701, fire alarm plan. 3. The high level alarm indicator is now shown on the fire alarm plan, sheet 701. This is required for the oil / water separator for daily operations, not the emergency situation in case of fire. The cut-off valve is initiated when the fire sprinklers are activated as shown on the sequence of operations matrix. 4. The trench drain piping from the trench to the separator has been changed to cast iron as requested. Please see revised sheet 501-plumbing plan. 5.
