I was able to meet with Scott Bass the assistant school superintendent, He felt confident that
the Sebastian schools would participate in the art project for the celebration. I told him this was
not for a logo but their rendition of something in Sebastian and that we were thinking of
posting them at our events. I advised that we would get back to them with more specific
parameters.
Thank you

Jeanette,
Thank you for taking the time yesterday to meet with the Board of the Sebastian Area
Historical Society and outline how the historical society can help with the 100 year
celebration of the City of Sebastian. Please know that I am very excited about this
celebration and will do whatever is needed to make it a huge success.
Going forward, the board has agreed that the best person to contact regarding historical
data, pictures and files in our data system would be board member Ellen Stanley, our
archivist. Ellen has worked for many years documenting every donation to the museum
and would be able to locate important data to be used during the celebration. Ellen can be
reached at the museum phone number 772 581-1380. Of course, I am available at the
same number.
Again, thank you for sharing your plans with us yesterday
Kathy McDonald, President

Hi Mr. Wiegand,
We have come a little further with our plans for Sebastian's 3001" birthday and plan to start fundraising soon.
Attached is the schedule for the December 8, 2024 celebration and we were wondering how much to budget for you to
come as Teddy Roosevelt when the ceremonies open as noted in the attached schedule. Maybe you could give a speech
about how passionate you were with protecting the pelicans. Something like you do at the Pelican Island Wildlife
festivals in March.
Thank you,
Jeanette

Dear Clerk Williams —
In my earlier note, 1 mentioned that your December R, 2024 date worked for me, and I'd love to engage your date and
perhaps those just prior to build some sense of excitement and celebration.
While I'm not available on July 4, 2024, 1 do have several other TR colleagues who might be available. If we had a chance
to chat, and I could learn more about your events and possibly your budget, I might know better whom to recommend.
All the best, and I'll make a point to stop by when I'm next in Sebastian.

Joe Wiegand's Teddy Roosevelt brings
audiences to their feet time after time.
Theodore Roosevelt was a soldier and
statesman, explorer and scientist, historian
and author. Our youngest president, he
personified a vigorous nation on the cusp of
the American Century. TR's stories entertain
and Inspire today.
At meetings, luncheons, and banquets, Joe
adapts his performance for each unique
audience. As a speaker or as a one man
theater performance, Joe Wiegand's Teddy
Roosevelt is always a big hit.
