2. REPORTS

MOTION by Cathy Testa and a SECOND by Jeanette Williams to approve the minutes from
October 17, 2022. Minutes approved by unanimous voice vote.
B. Marketing & Promotion
Brian gave a report from his meeting with Gregory Enns, the publisher of the Indian River
Magazine, who published the Vero 100 Magazine for Vero Beach's Centennial. Mr.Enns said
Vero Beach had Indian River Magazine sell the sponsorship ads so they did not have to pay for
production of the magazine; they sold the magazine to the public for $5.00 per copy. Since we
want to raise money for the Celebration Event we want to sell ads and be able to use them in
whatever publication type we decide. Mr. Enns said the cost of the magazine depended on the
number of pages, the quantity and quality of the pages. Brian discussed with him the cost of
5,000 copies, a matte finish with 48 pages. Mr. Enns said the cost would be $15,000 if we
supplied the writers for the articles and $20,000 if they supplied the writers. He said for every
additional 16 pages the cost would be another $2,000. They talked about designating the
premium sponsor pages which would be the inside cover, the first page, the back page along with
the back cover. Mr. Enns offered to help market the magazine by getting additional ads that may
not be on our list. He also mentioned a digital flipbook that would be online for anyone to
access.

Britney mention that if we need additional pages for premium sponsors that we could use the
center fold where the magazine naturally opens.
The deadline date for the magazine ads would be at the end of October in order to have it printed
for January.
At the next meeting we will finalize the magazine but we will add the magazine into our
sponsorship level packages. The Pelican level would have a premier page ad, Treasure Ship level
would have a full page ad, Paradise level would have a half page ad and Turtle would have a
quarter page ad.
C. Art
Cathy said that only a few pictures had been sent in. The Marketing Branch will put a few
pictures chosen by the group into coloring book format for the next meeting to give everyone an
idea of what the pictures will look like.
Brian suggested having a photo contest for the cover of our 100 Sebastian Magazine and
everyone liked the idea. Britney recommended that photo credits should be given.
D. Historical - None
E. Parades & Snecial Events
Marc Gingras reported that everyone is aware of what they want to do; they are working on
incorporating the ideas into their events.
F. SDonsorshins
Patti Williams emailed the sponsorship list to the Marketing Branch and they will upload it to the
share drive for everyone to have to access.
The Marketing Branch presented a sponsorship level template. They will make a few suggested
changes and bring it back to the next meeting.
Scarlett Chesser asked about having a centennial float in the parade. Brian said he will ask if all
of our Boards and Committees could work together and make a centennial float for the parade.
The group decided the program for the Centennial Birthday Day Event should be small. The
program should have the events and each sponsor's name under their sponsorship level and each
level would have its own page. Logo's will be used for Pelican, Treasure Ship and Paradise
levels and the lower levels will get either their name or business name.
Tim Glover from the Board of the Pelican Island Conservation Society offered to help in any
way with the event. He offered his resources to publish an article about Pelican Island in the
Sebastian 100 Magazine.
