MINUTES

1. ORDER
The Centennial Celebration meeting was called to order at 10:00am
2. REPORTS
A. Staff Items
a. Minutes Approval
MOTION by Ms. Testa and a SECOND by Ms. Williams to approve the minutes from April 17,
2023. MOTION approved by unanimous voice vote.
B. Marketing & Promotion
a. Tote bag design and proposal
Ms. Testa presented pricing for tote bags by a local vendor as being $1.64 for 1,000 with a $90
set up fee. The group would like to find out what the price difference would be for 2000 or 2500
tote bags and if we order more at a later date would the price be the same.
b. Thermo bag design and proposal
Ms. Testa presented pricing for the thermo bags as being $2.72 for 500 with a $90 set up fee by
the same local vendor. Ms. Testa will order 500 of the thermo bags to be sold at the centennial
festivals.

C. Art
a. Discuss additional na2es to add to the coloring book
Ms. Melchiori is going to add two pictures to fill up the blank pages in the coloring book.
Ms. Ware asked about the rules for the coloring book contest. The age groups need to be
decided along with the deadline and the prizes. Ms. Testa will talk with the CFO to get the
numbers of the kids in each of the elementary schools in Sebastian. After the information is
received she will work on the contest rules and bring the information to the next meeting.
Mr. O'Conner said Sherwin Williams will donate the materials for the middle school to paint an
8' x 8' banners for the stage.
D. Historical
a. Benin discussion on articles for the Sebastian 100 magazine
Ms. Maio presented a list of articles she has been working on as well as a timeline for the
magazine. Mr. Benton suggested that the next step be to meet with Mr. Enns, he can help narrow
the editorial portion of the timeline. Ms. Maio said she will be available in July to meet with Mr.
Enns. Mr. Benton said the deadline for the editorial portion for the magazine won't be until
September 15t and we will still have a little bit of time after that if we need it.
