A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SEBASTIAN, INDIAN RIVER COUNTY,
FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE SUBMITTAL OF A GRANT APPLICATION
FOR THE FLORIDA DIVISION OF HISTORICAL RESOURCES SPECIAL
CATEGORY GRANT PROGRAM REQUESTING $500,000.00 FOR
RESTORATION AND UPGRADES TO THE FISHERMAN'S LANDING
WORKING WATERFRONT AMENITIES AND FURTHER AUTHORIZING THE
AMOUNT OF $500,000.00 IN CITY MATCHING FUNDS; PROVIDING FOR
CONFLICTS; PROVIDING FOR SCRIVENER'S ERRORS; AND PROVIDING
FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City of Sebastian has the opportunity to apply for funding in the amount of
$500,000.00 for the Fisherman's Landing Working Waterfront renovations project, with a stipulation of
a one to one funds match; and
WHEREAS, the match funds of $500,000.00 will be available by July 1, 2025.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SEBASTIAN, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The above recitals are hereby adopted.
SECTION 2. The City Council of the City of Sebastian hereby authorizes the use of
$500,000.00 in match funds that will be budgeted and available July 1, 2025 for the Fisherman's
Landing Working Waterfront restoration project.
SECTION 3. Sections of this Resolution may be renumbered or re -lettered and corrections of
typographical errors which do not affect the intent may be authorized by the City Manager, or the City
Manager's designee, without need of further action of City Council by filing a corrected copy of same
with the City Clerk.
SECTION 4. This Resolution shall take effect upon adoption.
The foregoing Resolution was moved for adoption by Council Member Nunn

Aeenda Item Title: Approval of Resolution R-24-26, authorizing submission of a grant
application for $500,000.00 to the State of Florida Division of Historical
Resources Special Category Grant Program and authorize funding of the
required matching funds
Recommendation: Approve Resolution R-24-26, to authorize submittal of a grant application for
$500,000.00 to the State of Florida Division of Historical Resources Special Category Grant Program,
approve matching funds and authorize the City Manager to execute all necessary documents.
Backeround: At the direction of Council, Staff continues to apply for grants in anticipation of the
restoration of Fisherman's Landing. The State of Florida Division of Historical Resources has a Special
Categories Grant which requires equal matching funding, which will be available by July 1, 2025.
Staff is seeking approval of Resolution R-24-26 to apply for the State of Florida Division of Historical
Resources Grant, approve matching funds of $500,000 that are presently budgeted in the Community
Redevelopment Authority FY2024 budget and authorize the City Manager to execute all necessary
documents.
