HomeMy WebLinkAboutCSA #10 BSSCDocuSign Envelope ID: 687729E5-8F1E-480C-89CO-EC59EC1D966A CITY OF SEBASTIAN, FLORIDA WORK AUTHORIZATION FORM CONSULTANT SERVICE AGREEMENT (CSA) SCHULKE, BITTLE & STODDARD, LLC 1717 Indian River Blvd, Suite 201 Vero Beach, FL 32960 Work Authorization No: CSA - #10 Project Title: City of Sebastian — Barber Street Sports Complex — baseball field backstop(s) IT IS AGREED to undertake the following work in accordance with the provisions of the SCHULKE, BITTLE & STODDARD, LLC, Master Agreement entitled NON-EXCLUSIVE ENGINEERING CONSULTING SERVICES AGREEMENT dated FEBRUARY 22, 2021. Description of Assignment: Schulke, Bittie & Stoddard, LLC will provide structural engineering, design and structural plan preparation for renovations to four baseball fields at the Barber Street sports complex, to include the design of new 20' tall backstops. The engineering will be provided under the direction of the city recreation staff, standards for little league baseball fields, and the requirements of the 2020 Florida Building Code (See Scope of Work — Exhibit A). 1. Preliminary Planning 1.1 Investigation of the Existing Conditions - Consult with client to discuss limits of construction, materials, and methods of construction, and determine design standard utilized. - Review original construction plans, if available. - Review little league standards or other standards as directed by city staff. - Measure and draw existing site conditions — to be utilized as a base plan for design purposes. - Meet with City building official to discuss / confirm permitting requirements. 1.2 Engineering and Structural Plan Preparations - Structural analysis and design of walls, structural members, and connections to carry dead, live, and wind loads. - Prepare set of structural plans to include details, specifications of the standard utilized for the design (i.e. little league standards), and sections, details, anchoring/framing plans, and specifications, and plan layout / dimensional plan. - Review plans with client and issue final set of plans for city's use to obtain competitive bids and building permit. 1.3 Not Included: The scope of work does not include bidding or procurement services other than providing digital plan files and answering questions during the City's RFP process (bidding) that are forwarded to engineer from city staff. The scope of work does not include construction inspections or observations, field review of installed work, or final certifications. 2. Permitting & Inspections N/A 3. Contract Administration N/A 4. Cockcroft, Esq., City Attomey DocuSign Envelope ID: 887729E5-BF1E-480C-89C0-EC59EC1D966A SCOPE OF WORK — EXHIBIT A General DescrjpAion Schulke, Bittle & Stoddard, LLC will provide Final engineering design services including the structural engineering, design, and structural plan preparation for renovations to four baseball fields at the Barber Street sports complex, to include the design of new 20' tall backstops consisting of chain link fence with integral low height concrete stemwall. Each backstop will run from dug out parallel to the first base line, around and behind home plate, and then along and parallel to the 3'tl base line to the other dug -out. There will be no gate(s) or other openings along the back stop. The engineering will be provided under the direction of the city recreation staff, standards for little league baseball fields, and the requirements of the 2020 Florida Building Code.
