THE DOCUMENTS ARE INTERDEPENDENT. ONCE THE CONTRACTOR OR SUBCONTRACTOR HAS COMMENCED WITH HIS WORK, IT SHALL BE ASSUMED THAT HE HAS ACCEPTED THE CONDITIONS IN THE FIELD TO BE CORRECT AND RIGHT FOR THE INSTALLATION OF HIS WORK. 4.COMMENCEMENT OF WORK IN ANY AREA BY THE CONTRACTOR SHALL BE CONSTRUED AS THE CONTRACTOR HAS CHECKED THE EXISTING CONDITIONS AND FOUND THEM TO BE SATISFACTORY TO ACCEPT THAT PORTION OF THE WORK. 5.ALL SHALL BE PERFORMED IN A MANNER WHICH DOES NOT GENERATE NOISE, VIBRATION, ODOR OR DUST WHICH IMPAIRS WITH THE OPERATIONS OF THE FACILITY. 6.CONTRACTOR SHALL TAKE ALL NECESSARY PRECAUTIONS TO ENSURE THE SAFETY OF OCCUPANTS AND WORKERS AT ALL TIMES. 7.THE GENERAL CONTRACTOR SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE COMPLETE SECURITY OF THE SITE WHILE THE JOB IS IN PROGRESS AND UNTIL JOB IS COMPLETE. 8.DO NOT SCALE DRAWINGS TO DETERMINE ANY LOCATIONS. THE ARCHITECT SHALL BE NOTIFIED OF ANY DISCREPANCY PRIOR TO CONTINUING WORK. 9.EACH SUBCONTRACTOR SHALL CALL FOR UTILITY LOCATES OR COORDINATE DIRECTLY WITH THE GENERAL CONTRACTOR PRIOR TO ALL DIGGING OPERATIONS. 10.ACCURATE RECORD DOCUMENTS ARE TO BE RECORDED FOR LOCATIONS OF UNDERGROUND STRUCTURES AND UTILITIES. 11.ALL WORK SHALL BE ACCOMPLISHED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION AGENCY, STATE AND LOCAL ENVIRONMENTAL LAWS AND REGULATIONS. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL OBTAIN ALL REQUIRED PERMITS PRIOR TO CONSTRUCTION. PERMITS SHALL BE POSTED AT THE JOBSITE. 12.CONSTRUCTION SHALL COMPLY WITH THE CURRENT EDITION OF THE FLORIDA BUILDING CODE. 13.NO ASBESTOS CONTAINING BUILDING MATERIALS MAY BE USED DURING CONSTRUCTION. 14.PROVIDE PRODUCTS HAVING "ENERGY STAR" CERTIFICATIONS WHEN AVAILABLE. 15.CONTRACTOR SHALL PROVIDE A CONSTRUCTION ACCESS AND STAGING AREA PLAN FOR OWNER'S APPROVAL. 16.CONTRACTOR SHALL PROVIDE A SAFETY BARRIER TO PREVENT INTERACTIONS BETWEEN THE PUBLIC AND THE JOBSITE. 17.WORKING HOURS SHALL BE COORDINATED WITH, AND APPROVED BY, THE OWNER. 18.ALTERNATES MAY BE USED AS REQUIRED BY THE SCOPE OF WORK. THESE SHALL BE DETERMINED BY THE ARCHITECT AND USED UNDER THE DIRECTION OF THE OWNER'S REPRESENTATIVE. 19.COPIES OF FLORIDA PRODUCT APPROVALS SHALL BE SUBMITTED BY THE CONTRACTOR FOR BUILDING COMPONENTS SUCH AS EXTERIOR DOORS, WINDOWS, PANELS, ROOFING PRODUCTS, SHUTTERS, SKYLIGHTS, LOUVERS, AND OTHER PRODUCTS COMPRISING THE BUILDING ENVELOPE. 20.CONTRACTOR IS TO PROVIDE A PROJECT CONSTRUCTION SIGN OF WATER RESISTANT CONSTRUCTION. COPY AND DESIGN OF THE CONSTRUCTION SIGN SHALL BE REVIEWED AND APPROVED BY THE OWNER'S REPRESENTATIVE. 21.THE CONTRACTOR IS TO PRESERVE AND PROTECT ALL EXISTING VEGETATION SUCH AS TREES, SHRUBS, AND GRASS ADJACENT TO THE SITE WORK WHICH IS NOT TO BE REMOVED AND WHICH DOES NOT INTERFERE WITH THE CONSTRUCTION WORK. THE CONTRACTOR, AT NO ADDITIONAL COST TO THE OWNER, SHALL REPLACE DAMAGED VEGETATION RESULTING FROM CONTRACTOR OPERATIONS WITH A COMPARABLE SPECIMEN. 22.THE CONTRACTOR SHALL PROTECT UNDERGROUND AND OVERHEAD UTILITIES AT ALL TIMES. ADDITIONAL CARE SHALL BE TAKEN WHEN THE CONTRACTOR IS REQUIRED TO TIE INTO EXISTING UTILITIES. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL NOTIFY THE OWNER 72 HOURS IN ADVANCE TO SCHEDULE UTILITY CONNECTIONS.
