PRESENT: VICE MAYOR GRAY, COUNCILMEN JOACHI~EgERETT GASS, DOROTHY W. MCKINLEY AND MAYOR FLOOD. MOTION BY COUNCILWOMAN McKINLEY TO PURCHASE A NEW VEHICLE FOR THE POLICE DEPARTMENT IN ACCORDANCE WITH BID SPECIFICATIONS SUBMITTED BY THE VERO BEACH LINCOLN MERCURY, IN THE AMOUNT OF $6,287.86. SECONDED BY COUNCILMAN JOACHIM. CARRIED. MOTION BY VICE MAYOR GRAY, SECONDED BY COUNCILMAN GASS, TO REQUEST CHIEF CUMMINS TO OBTAIN REPORTS FROM OTHER CITIES AND COUNTIES ON HOW THE SMALLER CARS ARE WORKING OUT IN THEIR POLICE DEPARTMENTS. HE REQUESTED THAT THE REPORT BE PRESENTED TO THE COUNCIL BY THE AUGUST 1979 MEETING. CARRIED. A MEMBER OF THE AUDIENCE SUGGESTED THE FLORIDA LEAGUE OF CITIES MAY HAVE SOME INFORMATION ALONG THIS LINE THAT WOULD BE OF ASSISTANCE. THE MEETING WAS ADJOURNED. City Clerk Mayor
