January 8,1962
Meeting was called to order by President Sembler.
Those present were Mayor Boone, President Sembler, Councilman Chan-
nell, Councilman DeCristofaro, Councilman Nash. Councilman Baxter
present but stepped down off the Council. Attorney Galagher was also
present.
Minutes of Regular meetiz~ of December 11, and adjourned meeting
of December 18, 1961 were approved as read.
Bills in the amount of $7,304.24 were read and approved.
man DeCristofaro moved that bills not be paid until later date,
by Co~ncilman Nash. Carried.

Mayor Boone recommended that ~ot A, M. A. Martin Subdivision be
sold to Jack Baxter for $1500.00.
Councilman Nash asked for a roll call vote, and voting was as follows:
Aye - President Sembler
Nay - Councilman Channell
Nay - Councilman De~ristofaro
Aye - Councilman Nash
It was a tie vote and no action taken.
At this time Councilman Baxter took his chair at the Council
table.
Councilman Baxter read City Clerk Assistant~.Jean PredellIs
resignation and made a motion that it be accepted ms of January
17~. Seconded by Councilman Nash. Carried.
Motion was made by Co~.~ncilman Baxter, seconded by Councilman Nash
to draw up resolution authorizing transfer of Sinkir~ Fund Accounts;
also authorize the signatures of City Clerk Ruth W. Edenfield, Mayor
Boone and President Sembler, Either the Mayor or Co~ncil President to
co-sign checks. Motion carried.
Councilman Baxter stated that he mentioned the need of Syreet
Inspection to City Engineer Lloyd. President Sembler recommended
that Councilman Baxter look further into the matter.
CouncilmanBaxter contacted Sheriff Sam ~oyce abou~ buying the
p~lice radio that the City isn't using, The figure of $100.00 was
mrnyion~d. Councilman Nash made a motion that $100.00 be accepted,
Seconded by Co~cioman DeCristofaro. Carried.
President Sembler recommended that existing committee be
re-a~..pointed for Planning an~ Zoning Committee.

Mrs. Stradley to write to committee members to learn which would con-
tinue to serve.
City Clerk to notify Zonisg Appeal Board that they have been
re-elected.

Mayor Boone recommended that police office be moved into Fire
Department, also whi~he~ to hold court in Fire Department.

Mayor Boone was asked to contact City Attorney Vocelle and have
him call Hunnicut & Associates to find out when both could be here and
ca~ a Special meeting at that time for:
1, Airport Commission
2/ Discuss 1962 tax roll with Representative~from Hunnicut &
Associates and City Attorney Vocelle.
3. Make motion to pay December 1961 bills.
4. Car rSpairs at Shell Station.
Councilman Baxter moved to adjourn.
