Among the items is a request from attorney Eliot Cutler to re- schedule the date of the second reading, public hearing and adoption of proposed ordinances to implement the, airport charter amendment. The counciln inall ohad sched- uled a special meeting or the June 7 workshop to deal with the ordi nances, wf ich must be adopted by June 12. Because Cutler had prob- .1 s in arranging his rave o accommo a e a date, he is asking that the ordinances be brought before council on June 12. Also on the agenda are proposals to prepare specifications to seal - coat runway 4/22 and a Commu- nity Airport Plan. McQueen & Associates Aas sub- mitted an engineering proposal to prepare specifications to spray the runway with weed killer, slurry seal it, restripe it and remove the lights; coordinate and prepare advertisements for the bids; review bids and recommend to whom the bid should be awarded; and admin- ister the contract. f The cost of the engineering con- tract would not exceed $5,000. This project has been included in a proposed budget amendment at $60,000. Apogee Research Inc. of Bethes- da, Md., which is preparing an eco- nomic report: on the airport to justify the amount of landing fees that will be imposed, is further re- questing that a Community Airport Plan be approved, which would cost the city an additional $15,500. Finally, the council will consider a recommendation from the now - defunct Airport Advisory Board to renew the existing lease of the Mid -Florida Schutzhund Club. for property on the west side of airport land. Other agenda items include: a re- quest by City Manager Robb Mc - Clary for an assittant city man- ager; discussion on the city's re- newing negotiations for the CAV Corp. property on J.S. 1 just north of Riverview Park; and consider- ation of a resolution adopting a budget amendment.
