Meeting called to order by President Sweatt.
Those present were ~'!'a~or Shaffer,President 2weatt and ~ouncilmen Sembler,
Elllngsen,Taylor and ~s Ghesser.City Attorney Walker Present.
~inutes of the last meeting were approved as read.
~ills aEounting to ,911.36 approved by the finance ~ommittee were authorized
to be paid on motion by Councilman ~llingsen and seconded by uouncilmanSembler.~arried.
it was moved by ~ouncilman ~llingsen and seconded by ~ouncilman Taylor that
the sand which lm to be removed from ~aln street be sold to Emery ~eVane for ~he sum
of $.50 per 10ad.~arried.
~..,~rs Chesser reported that the shuffle board keys were left with ~r Ponder
for distribution and that chrildren could use the court ~hursdays and ~'riday nights
from 7:00 P.Ei. until 9:00 P.M. It was also mentioned that all lights except those
over the shuffle board court would be turned out.
~,r Oliver from ~¢~oore Insurance Agency was on ~hand to go over the rates for
Volunteer ~'ireman Insurance and it was moved 'by ~ouncilman ~llingsen and seconded 'by
Councilman ~'aylor that the ~ity take out the following insurance,
Principal of ~5,000.00 weekly indemnity $40.00 and lzedical payments $2,500.00 for the
cost of $199.00 subject to the approval of the ~ity Attorney this to cover one piece
of equlpment.~or the second piece of equipment when added or pu~ in service their would
be an additional cost of 25 per cent added subject to the approval .of the volunteer
r'ire 0epartment ~embers.~$;~$~$.$econd piece of equipment to be paid for b~ the
ff~re Department ~mbers. Carried.
Councilman z'aylor was nominated for President Protem and ~ouncilman Sembler
moved nominations be closed which was seconded by ~ouncilman ~;llingsen and carried.
Cou~cilman elected to ~fflce of President Protein.

It was moved by ~ouncilman Sembler and seconded by Councilman ~llingsen to
authorize the ~ity ~ttorney to inquire as to the lowest price City bomds could be bought
carried.
Councilman Taylor told the uouncil that the ~ub Tractor was in need of repair
and after some debate it was agreedcto hold up repair to future date.
Mayor Shaffer told the Council that the City Signs at each e~d of the City and
t~afflc signs were in need of repair and painting.It was moved by Mrs Chesser to recon-
dition and paint signs.Same was seconded 0y Councilman Taylor.Carried.
~or Shaffer recommended Chief ~dams be appointed as Chief of.Police for the
next two years.Said recommendation was passed on motion by Councilman Ellingsen and
seconded by Oouncilman ~aylor. Carried.
~;.C.Peterson was also recommended as City Clerk for the next two years and
on motion by Oouncilman Ellingsen which was seconded by ~ouncilman faylor was appointed
as oity Clerk.Carried.
Atto~ney Cornelius T.Walker was appointed as oi'ty attorney on ~Lotion by
Councilman Ellingsen and seconded by Councilkan Taylor.~arried.
There being no more business meeting was duly adjourned.
