The 1..Iinutos of the Regular ~eeting of ~ecem~er 24th, were ~ead and
ap2roved.
An agreement to transfer the City's interest in the two electric
line extensions to the residences of Paul Eroegel and Richard Kimble in
favor of '~he Florida Power and Light Com£~any, the same having been drawn
up by Attornoy James T. Vocolle was read and on Motion of Eouncilman Park,
seconded by Councilman Hicks, '~he ~ayor and Clerk were authorized to sign
same.
On ~iotion of Councilman Hicks, seconded by Councilman Park, the
}~yor and Clerk ~vere authorized to sign receipt for the check having been
handed to the Council by R. D. Hill assistant ~Janager for this division
of the Florida Power and Light Company 'this amount $~000.00 being the
final amount on tho purchaso price of the Electric Light and Icc Plant,
making a total amount of i~85,000.00.

On suggestion of ~Iayor Badger 'the Council requested the Chamber of
Cora~erce,Secret~ry to obtain information as to particulars in painting the
wor~ Sebastian on the roof of the Town Hall for ~idance of aviators.
The communication from ~drs. Ruffner in roference to her recent
accident was held over until next meetin~ so as to get advice from the
City Attorney.
On ~otion of Councilraan Hardee, seconded by Councilman Hicks, the
bid of R. G. Anderson to fill up the w~sh out at the intersection of
Dixie and Washington Avenue for ~.00 wam approved and Councilmnn Park
was authorized to proceed with the work.

Councilman ~'~ark was authorized to clean out tho Standard 011
ditch on ~.iotion mad~e by Councilman Hicks and seconded by Councilman Hardee.

The bill of ~arsl~al Sallee~£or services since December l~th, was
not allowed pending the present~tion of an itemized stat~nnent OK'd by the
~.Iayo r.
On account of retrenckmen~ pro~:~;ram the collecl~in~ of cans was ~ot
authorized and the householders are to bc requested 'to dispose of them
as before the collecting was put in force.
The Florida Power and Light Co~'~anys 'bill of $1~.~9 for street
lighting service for the month of Dece~ber was referred to the Finamce
Co~mm~o~e with power
~OTION: made by Councilwoman Hicks that all bills b~, OK'd by the Chairman of
the Finance Committee or vice Chairman~ in kis absence before being
p~id, was second~d by Councilman Hardee.

~0TION: made by Councilman Hardee, seconded-by' Council,s.an ~ark, that the
Finance Co~muittee be not authorized to approve bills until OK'd
by thc committee from which they originate.

Continuation of Re~o~lar ~deetinf~ hold January 14th,1929.
The EcCrary letter of the 8th in reference 'to tho two Cook bonds was
filed until ~.~. Ruse's statement of accounts etc., has been completed and
filed with the Council.
Raybon L~tohwort.h requested 2ermission to h~ul two lo~.~ds of miccadam
from the old Dixie south of the East Coast Lumber yard; as this was of
priv.at~ uso and as this material is kept for City Street improvement his
request was declined.
Councilman H-~rdee Chairm~n of the Finance Committee, su,~.:..i::~.~te0 to
0~ey Bland, when he asked inform~:~tion in reference to his bill of '.i!;237.50
that he try 'to hay,.0 some of 'the former Council ~'.'ho ¥/:~s f'amilar ~'~i'th his
contract meet with -the present Council at their next Reo~ular Meeting and
advise the present Council in reg~'ard to their claim.
The request of Local Manager, E. L. Winni~ . o~ the Flo::~ida i:owor and
Light Company i_,~ reference to -the City Clearin,u ~he main drainage ditch
running through .. the Chas. Taylor prop~r'ty so the Company could drain the
pond a~jacei~t to the Power house was deferred for investigation.
~ communication from the City Clerk stated that she felt it her dnty
to help with the retrenchment program as instituted by the City Council
~nd as her work has been reduced on account of the sale of the Light ~md
Ice plant she made a proposition to attend to the duties of City Clerk,
tax assessor, tax collector, police clerk, otc., at a salary of J~75.00
per month. Her proposition w~s accepted and a vote of thanks given on
~otion of Councilman Hicks, seconded by Councilman Hardee.
