Motion by Councilman Ellingsen ~h~ch was seconded by Councilman Dahlstrom the City
erk's salary to be ~200.00 per month.carried.
Salary for the Chief of Police to be $250.00 per month on motion by Councilman
Ellingsen~; and seconded by Councilman Sembler and carried.
Councilman Dahlstrom told the Council that Miss Len'ora Park has requwsted the City
Council set a price on lots i to 8 block I of W.AoMartin S/D, which are now owned by the
State of Florida and after discussing the matter it was moved by Councilman Sembler and
secondedc~by Councilman Nash that the waityand meet with Miss Park before a d$cision be nen-
dered .carried.
It was moved by Councilman Sembler and seconded by Councilman Ellingsen that starting
with !'he New Year the Council hold two m~etings a month,said meetings to be held on the 2nd.

It was moved by Councilman' that the Clerk write Bad Sims a letter inviting him to
meet with the City Council to discussproperty lines and Taxes,Same was seconded by Councilman
Dahlst rom. Carried.
The Clerk was instructed to confer to the International Safety Equipment Co Repre-
senative that the City Council is not ready to negotiate a deal at this time for the new
spDed control machine.
It was moved by Councilman Sembler and seconded by uouncilman ~llingsen that if
Babson was at Babson Park and could be reached,Mr Middletonwould be secured to make trip
see Mr Babson account of the five bonds he is still holding of the 1939Issue. carried.
'D~e Mayor proclaimed Monday December'24,lg51 a holiday along with Christmas for all
City employees.

Those present were Mayor Shaffer,President Sweatt,Coumcilmen Sembler,Elllngsen,
Dahlstrom and Nash. James T Vocelle,attorney also present.

Bills payable for December approved by Finance Committee were ordered paid on
ion by Councilman Ellingsen and seconded by Councilman Dahlstrom. Carried.
Councilman Ellingsen reported that ~'~rs C~niff had reported her toilet was not
working right and the septic tank was also leaking. The Clerk was instructed to write letter
to Mrs Ruffner and report said conditions as she being the owner of said property.
Councilman Dahlstrom tol'd the Council that the ~'lremen were taking 3hours instruction
each night for five nights on all phases of fire fighting and handling equipment.

City Clerk was instructed to have the Police chief secure names of all the sign
owners so they can be notified as to ~he restriction~ on same.The City ~ttorney was asked to
m~ke up an amendment to exclude Church signs.
It was moved by Councilman Sembler and seconded by uouncilman Ellingsen that the
Clerk and ~nspectors of the City Elections ~e paid seven dollars
Clerk was instructed to investigate the p0esibil~ies of obtaining stop signs for
~reets where they intersect the Highway.
It was ~oved by Councilman Ellingsen a~d seconded by Councilman Sembler that Mr Moyal

Cou$cil~a'~as~ked the Council to instruct Cl~rk to get prices from the well drillers
for a three and four inch well for t he Cenetary.

lty purchase enough marl for drive in the City park to be used by Fire '£ruck and to be paid

Due to accidents which haweoccured at Main street crossing at'Florida East Coast Hy
the Council instructed the City Attorney to write the ~'lorida East Coast My to widen said
crossing to remove said hazzard.
Clerk was instructed to secure price of large drain tile for ditch at martin ave
and Highway number 1.
Mr J.R.Middleton reported to the City Council that he ~tad interviewed Mr Babson
as to the sale of the five bonds that he still holds of the 1939 issue,and that he had
received a letter from ~Jlr Babson and turned letter over to city.After discussing the buying
up of the Babson bonds Councilman Sembler moved that the city buy said bonds and Councilman
Elllngsen seconded said motion. Carried. Said bonds to be purchaAed at $850.00 per bond
and City to pay intrest of said bonds up to April 1,1952.

City of Sehastian reemburse ~r ~liddleton the amount of ~20.10 for services rendered on
the Babson ~onds,~arried.

Clerk include said report in the minutes of this meeting. Carried,
Aletter to the Sebastian Baptist Church asking the repair of the side walk in front
o2 the Church property which had been broken by heavy trucks delivering material was ordered
written by the Clerk on request by CounCilman Sembler who reported to the Council that 40
feet of side walk had been damaged.
The Clerk was also instructed to write a letter to Mrs ~raswell as to the condition of
the septic tank on her property.

Ellingsen that Er ~iddleton be sent a.lctter of thanks from the City for uivic services

The clerk was authorized ~o purchase 2 volumns of ~'lorida S~ate Statutes from
Tallahassee for City Hall use at a cost of $12.50 on motion 0y oouncilman $~;~mbler and s~
seconded by ~ounc~lman Dahlstrom.~arried.

pay telephone bill for police calls on Chief Adam's telephone in order for ~hief Adams to
