COUNCILMAN SZELUGA STATED THAT THE CITY CHARTER REQUIRES THAT THERE BE A VICE MAYOR
APPOINTED IN THE EVENT THAT THE MAYOR IS UNABLE TO FULFILL HIS DUTIES AT ANY POINT.
HE FELT IT WOULD NOT BE PROPER TO POSTPONE THE APPOINTMENT OF THE VICE MAYOR UNTIL
MARCH.
ATTORNEY PALMER ADVISED THE COUNCIL TO ELECT A VICE MAYOR AT THIS TIME.
