Meeting was called to order by President ~lddleton.
Those answering Roll Call were,Mayor ~oberte,President Middleton,oouncilman Sembler,
Stevenson,Letchworth and Anderson.
Minutes of the previous meeting of January 4~h,were read and approved.
After the read~ng of Ordinance liS,said Ordinance was ado.p~d which covered the Florida
State Sanitary Gode. ,Said 0rd~nance was passed on motion by Councilman Sembler which
was seconded by Councilman Letchworth.Carried.

After reading Ordinance 114 a Sanitary Nuisance Ordinance same was adopted by motion by
Councilman Sembler and seconded ~by Councilman Letchworth.

City Ordinance Chapter N0.115 An Ordinance regulating and prohibiting the sale of
such beverages and liquors between the hours of 1:00 A.M. each week Sunday
to 7:00 o'clock A.M. each ~en~ay next thereafter; was read for first time,
,and vote by ROll Call was,

Second reading at next meeting Feb .l ,194~.
After reading of letter from Prendergast & Fahey Co on refunding of the City Bonds
it was agreed to draw contract for the ~onds,but Mr Mitchell th~e City's Attorney
to be advised the refunding to be in order except 5000.00 dollars in Bonds was not
listed and a check should be made to locate same.
This was carried by motion by Councilman Letchworth and seconded by Councilman
Sembler. Carried.
Motion by Councilman Sembler and seconded by Councilman Stevenson to order four new
tires for the Police Car and Mayor Roberts to handle same by secureing bids on same.

An application addressed ~o the Mayor and City Council for position in Police ~epartment
at the f~rsta~penlng by ~eorge Brashear was read and Clerk told to keep on file for
further reference.motion by Councilman Anderson and seconded by Councilman Stevenson.
Carried.
On a motion by Councilman Sembler and Seconded by Councilman Letchworth the Council
was asked to consider passing and adopting both sanitary ordinances number 11~ and
114 respectively.

The Clerk was instructed to write a letter to Mr Simons and ask when he would be able to
continue the Zoning of the City of Sebast~lan.
Also a letter was asked to be sent the Firemen who came up to Sebastian with the
Indian River County fire flghtl ng equipment,commending them on their prompt arrival
and fine work in bringing a grass fire under their control.
The Council also authorized the Clerk to give the News Papers any news which might
benificlal to the City.
There being nc more business meeting was adjourned.
