THE PfRPOSE OF THE mEETING WAS TO TAKE NECESSARY ACTION ON A RESOLUTION FOR THE CITY'S COMPREHENSIVE PLANNING PROGRAm. ~AYOR CRAGG OUTLINED THE NECESSARY STEPS TO BE TAKEN BY THE CITY TO ENTER THE PROGRAm, STATING THE DEADLINE FOR FILING THE REPORT IS JANUARY 31, 1977. A PRE-APPLICATION FORm HAS BEEN CONPLETED BY THE COUNTY AND mAYOR CRAGG ASKED THE COUNCIL TO CONSIDER ADOPTION OF A RESOLUTION WHEREIN THE COMMUNITY COMPREHENSIVE PLANNING ASSISTANCE PROGRAm, ADMINISTERED BY'THE STATE OF FLORIDA, DEPARTMENT OF COmmUNITY AFFAIRS, OFFERS THE OPPORTUNITY TO STRENGTHEN THE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT PROCESS THROUGH THE CONDUCT OF A PLANNING PROGRAm. ~OTIO# BY COUNCILMAN JOACHIm, SECONDED BY VICE mAYOR GRAY, TO ADOPT THE ABOVE RESOLUTION (NO. R-77-2) IN WHICH THE CITY OF SEBASTIAN OFFICIALLY REQUESTS THE STATE TO INCLUDE THE CITY OF SEBASTIAN IN ITS APPLICATION TO THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT FOR LOCAL PLANNING ASSISTANCE FUNDS FOR FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING JULY 1, 1977. CARRIED. THE APPLICATION AND RESOLUTION ARE TO BE FORWARDED UPON COMPLETION ~0 MR. T, THOMAS, iNDIAN RIVER COUNTY COURTHOUSE. MAYOR CRAGG DISCUSSED REQUEST HE HAD RECEIVED FROm mRS. mETA CHESSER BOLINGER FOR TWO OLD "HOr~ESTEAD" PILLARS AND A SMALL cErflENT BUILDING, WHICH SHE OFFERED TO PAY FOR, LOCATED ON THE PROPERTY RECENTLY PURCHASED BY THE CITY, Clerk
