The minutes of the previous meeting of January 14th, were read and
approved.
The resignation of Councilman Lawson was read.
MOTI~: made by Councilman Hardee, seconded by Councilman Park, that the
resignation of Councilman Lawson 'bo accepted.
Motion carried.
Councilman Hardee then prefaced tho following Motion by stating that
he felt the Council ought to select one of our large property owners and that
as E. ~. Vickers was also one of the four hight candidates in the rcceSt
election 'he would nominate ~Ar. Vickers to fill the unexpired term of Councilman
Lawson resigned. The ~otion was s~conded by Councilman Park and unanimously
carried.
A letter from Er. Bland is reference to his bill was read, it
referred to the bill wLich Mr. Bland presontod to the Council at their me~..~ting
of November 1Sth, 19S8, da~ed Dec. 29th, 192~ for tho sum of $2Z?.~0 for
cle;~ring .all tho uncleaned land on both sides of tho Street kuown as N. Central
~venue from Ocean Breeze Heights Subdivision and runnisg South to the N. West
corner of the property known as the G. W. Bingham tr~-~ct.
Councilman Park, s~g~ested that as Mr. Vickors ~o had served on the
Council at tho time of-the contract and as he had been appointed to serve
the unexpired term of ~ouncil~an Lawson tha~ the Council before taking action
w~it and set his Spinion.

presented by ~r. Bland be rejected.
Motion carried.
Councilman Hicks stated ho would like to have ~ill settled but felt ~s
if the old Council should O.K. it before being paid.
The Clerk was authorized to deliver bonds numbered 11 and 12 to the
Indian River County Bank and instruct thom to hold thom in exchange for tho
Cook bonds, in event ho is ~illing.
The Clerk was inst~,ucted to wire the J. B. McCrary Company, relative
to tho Cook bonds as fellows:

The subject of the lawn in front of the offic8 building was talked upon
and it was suggested by Councilman Hardee, that it would be a good ido~ to
ficnce it, in order to keep c.~rs off so that the grass could grow, no action
was taken.
~,[0TION: made by Councilman Hardee, seconded by Councilman Hicks, that two men
'be employed to clear strip ten feet wide and tho len~%th of the ced.ar
trees planted on the City property.
Motion carried.

statement 6f-the previo.us month. The financial statem~nt to include
all receipts and show from what source a~d to what accounts credited
etc.,also disbursements for the month, and thc a~aount in each
checking account available for use when required for City management.
