It was moved' by Councilman Sembler and seconded by Councilman Dahlstrom that the
lty purchase enough marl for drive in the City park to be used by Fire Truck and to be paid
from general fund.carried,
Due to accidents which haweoccured at Main street crossing at 'Florida East Coast My
the Council instructed the City kttorney to write the ~Jlorida East Coast ~y to widen said
crossing to remove said hazzard.
Clerk was instructed to secure price of large drain tile for ditch at martin ave
and Highway number 1.
Mr J.R.Siiddleton reported to the City Council that he tlad interviewed Mr Babson
as to the sale of the five bonds that he still holds of the 1939 issue,and that he had
received a letter from Mr Babson and turned letter over to city.After discussing the buying
up of the Babson bonds Councilman Sembler moved that the city buy said bonds and Councilman
Ellingsen seconded said motion.Carried. Said bonds to be purchased at $850.00 per bond
and City to pay intrest of said bonds up to april lt1952.
it was moved by Councilman ~llingsen and seconded by Councilman Sembler that the
City of Sebastian reemburse 5~r ~iddleton the amount of ~20.10 for services rendered on
th~ Babson Donds.Uarried.

~eeting called ~o order by P~-~ewident Sweatt.
Those present were ~layor Shaffer,President Swea~t and Councilmen Sembler,Elllr~gsen,
Dahlstrom and Nash.
There being no corrections the minutes of the last meeting were approved as read.
Bills a~ountin~ to $188.43 which were approved by the riddance committee were ordered
paid on motion by Councilman Elllngsen and seconded 'by' cou~cilman Nash. carried.
Mayor gave the folowing report to t_~e City Council,on the Police ~epartment,
Number tickets issued from D,.~cember 18 to Jan~.~ary 28 47. Warnings 10,Fines $825.00
Milage on police car 1,979.Gas consumed 136 gal totaling 14.5 miles per gal. '~'otal
operation expense $104.48 salary excluded.
It ,,-as moved by Courcilman Dahlstrom and seconded by codncilman Sembler that the
Clerk include said report in the minutes of this meeting. Carried~
Aletter to the Sebastian Baptist Church asking the repair of the side walk in front
o~ the Church property which had been broken by heavy trucks delivering material was ordered
written by the Clerk on request by.Councilman Sembler who reported to the Council that 40
feet of side walk had been damaged.
The Clerk was also instructed to write a letter to Mrs Braswell as to the conditio~ of
the septic tank on her property.

second meeting in ~'ebruary which being the 2$th of February. in order to have the City Books
~ought'~'up to date as to taxes and description.
a letter from ~,~',r Bab'son was read in answer to letter written him by the City ~lerk
pertain~ng.to five bonds which are held by ~m',.r ~abson,the same to be turned in to the City
some time in april due to the efforts of Mr J.R.~.iddleton in contacting A.ir ~abson to pick
said bonds for retairment.It was ~oved oy ~ouncilN~an Sembler and seconded by ~ouncilman
Elllngsen that Er ~'~iddleton be sent.a.,letter of thanks from the ~lty for ~lvlc services
rendered. ' ~arried.
'£he Clerk was authorized to purchase 2 volumns of ~'lorida Spate Statutes from
Tallahassee for City Hall use at a cost of ~12.50 on motion Dy ~ouncilman S~mbler and
seconded by ~ounc~lman D,,hlstrom.~arried.

pay telephone bill for police calls on Chief Adam's telephone in order for ~hlef Adams to
