COUNCILMAN FRANK OBERBECK, COUNCILWOMAN DOROTHY MC KINLEY, COUNCILMAN EVERETT T. GASS , MAYOR FLOOD AND CITY ATTORNEY KILBRIDE. THE CITY CLERK READ THE NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING WHICH APPEARED IN THE VERO BEACH PRESS JOURNAL ON JANUARY 18 & 28, 1981, CONCERNING THE ADOPTION OF AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 13 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF SEBASTIAN. THE CITY CLERK READ IN ITS ENTIRETY THE ABOVE PROPOSED ORDINANCE CONCERNING WEEDS AND LITTER FOR THE SECOND TIME. THERE WAS CONSIDERABLE DISCUSSION ON VARIOUS ASPECTS OF THE PROPOSED ORDINANCE AND A COMPLAINT WAS HEARD FROM A CITIZEN RESIDING ON COLUMBUS STREET WHO COMPLAINED OF THE PRESENCE OF POISONOUS SNAKES AND RODENTS ON THE LOT NEXT TO HIS RESIDENCE. THE BUILDING INSPECTOR COMMENTED THAT 95% OF THE LOTS IN SEBASTIAN HIGHLANDS ARE 8~'iAN~ SUGGESTED THE ORDINANCE BE CHANGED TO READ A DISTANCE OF 80' INSTEAD OF 100' THE SECOND READING WAS NOT ACCEPTED BY THE COUNCIL. IT WILL BE PLACED ON THE FEBRUARY 9TH REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING AGENDA FOR FURTHER DISCUSSION OF THE RECOMMENDED REVISIONS. THE PUBLIC HEARING WAS CLOSED. MEETING - FEBRUARY 4, 1981 ~ THE CONTRACT FOR CONSTRUCTION OF THE 18 HOLE M~ICiPAL~3LF COURSE TO TIFTON GOLF CONSTRUCTION CO., INC. AND TO APPRCFV-E _'"HR ~'iggNING OF THE THE CITY ATTORNEY STATED THE COMPANY WOULD BE REQUIRED TO SUBMIT PROOF COURSE SITE ON FEBRUAI~ ~49, 198~, AT 1~ A.I ~ % \ \~ I I 1 WILL BE WRITING A LETTE TO MR. WAYNE ALLEN TOMORROW ASKING FOR THE $50,000 THEY PROMISED AS SOON AS WE HAVE A FIRM CONTRACT TO PROCEED WITH THE GOLF COURSE. THE MEETING WAS ADJOURNED. CITY CLERK MAYOR
