The minutes of the Regular ~eting of January 28th, were read and
approved.
[~ayor Badger presented a letter from Governor Carlton in reference to
City and County Tax collections, ~ich was read and filed until no.ct
meeting.
The l~Iayor presented t~Ir. R. C. Powell to the Council and asked tha't he be
considered for the position as ~,~arshal. Action was deferred until next
meet lng.
~ir. G. A. Braddock addressed the Council telling thom of the 01d Timer's
picnic to bo held in Sebastian February 22nd, he asked for 'the 6ouncils
co operat ion.
Councilman Hardde, Chairman of tho Finance Committee suggested as there
was an advertising fund set aside each year that some it be used for -this
purpose.
Councilman Vickers, moved that a committee be appointed 'to arrange 'the
details and that all expenses he paid from the adw:~rtising fund upon
approval of the Finance Committee, seconded by Councilman Hardee.
Motion carried.
Councilman Nartin appointed the following Committee:

Mr. F. S. Cooper offered lumber 'to be used for the construction of tables
and benches and ~. E. W. Vickers offered to supply bread, coffee and
pickles at cost.
MOTION: made by Councilman Hardee, seconded by Councilman Park, 'that the
Vero BeaCh Press Journal a newspaper of General Circulation
Published at Ver~ Ben, ch, Indian River Co.o_nt~, Florida bo designated
as Zhe newspaper., in which notice of tax s~les for the City of
Sebastian be published for the year 1927.

~JOTI0}~: made by Councilman Park, seconded bM CoUncilman Hardee, theft after
the City Council had investigfatod claim of l,~irs. &nnie Ruffner against 'the
City of Sebastian and on advise of the ~ttorney the Council decided that
there v~::~s no liability on the City.
Mot ion carried.
The Clerk was instructed to write the City of ~,~elbourne and Stuart in
regard to the amount of license tax charged persons, firms or corporations
operating electric light and ice plants.
Councilman Hardee suggested that the cleari~ of ~-~11 streets be finish-
ed and the brush bo burned from the parkw:~ys, that further cleani.~ of the
main ditch through the l~{artin subdivision bo deferred until next meeting.

The Clerk was instructed 'to write the Florida Fower and Light Corapany
in reference to the minimum charged for domestic refrigeration.

Council adjourn.
