Those present were Mayor Taylor, President Sembler and Council- man Nash, Kutch, Benshop and Chesser. Attorney Walker present. Minute~ of the last regular meeting of January 9, 1956 and special called meeting of January IT, 1956 w~e approved as read. Bills amounting to One Thousand Seven Hundred Thirty One dollars and Eighty Two cents ($1, 731.82 ) was approved by the Finance Committee and authorized to be paid on motion by Councilm~n Benschop and seconded by Councilman Chesser. Carried. Councilman Chesser reported to the Council of her sanitation inspections a~d the results thereof. The Clerk warn instructed to write M~. Welch of the F. E.C. Rail- road and request that their ditch inside the City be cleared. The C~ty in turn agreed to open their ditch emptying from the-F.EeC, ditch. Councilman Nash reported the Fire Dept. made a profit of approx- imately three hundred dollars on their Fish Fry of February 8, Mr. Jennings representing the County Healt~ Dept. introduced to the Council a method by which a septic tank construction permit is issued with each building permit, the City adopted same since it com- plies with the Florida State Sanitary Code. Mr. Jennings agreed to report to Sebastian City Hall on Thursday of each week. Mayor Taylor suggested the City constraint a dgg pound, the con- struction not to exceed Twenty Five dollars ~$25'00). A motion to that effect was made by Councilman Nash, seconded by Councilman Benschop. Carried. The Council agreed to sell used tires off th~ Police car to the highest bidder. Attorney Walker discussed w~th the Council Auditor report for year ending October 31, 1955. The Council agreed to light the park for one month to determin~ the added expense for the lighting of same. The Clerk was instructed to write a courtesy letter to N~. G.L. Sweatt~ pertaining to his time and efforts in the lighting of the Park. The Council agreed as a whole for the School to use the benches at the. ball park. Meeting was adjourned on motion by Councilman Chesser , seconded by Oouncilmam Nash. Carried. C 1 erk Pres. Council
