Lawson W. C. Braddock R. G. Hardee S. A. Park Clerk A.G. Roberts The euestion of City Engineer Miller Hallowes salary for engineering time over the specified time that contract was to run. Upon looking into the contract with the J. B. McCrary Engineering Corp. it was found that their six month's period, the alloted time that work was to be completed in. did not expiro until 'January 20th, 1928. Nr. H. S. A~man of the J. B. McCrary Engineering Corp. was present and stated their position in reg'~rd to the overtime and it was the unanimous opinion of the Council that Mr. Hallowes should be called before the council to state his case re~Tarding overtime fees. The City Clerk was instructed to get in touch with the City Attorney and Miller H.ullowes and have them at a meeting of the City Council to be held at 7:30 o'clock P.M. this date. MOTI~N made by Councilmau Park and seconded by Councilman Braddock, that council adjourn until 7:30 o'clock, Motion carried. Vocelle MOTION made by Oouncilman Braddock and seconded by Councilman Park t~at the City Clerk be instructed to purchase bond, assessment and card records, also card record case, ~or street and sidewalk improvement assessments, after securing bids on these supplies .and equipment. MOTION carried. Mill,_..r Hallovjos not being present the City Council asked ~,.Ir. Vocelle's opinion as to the legality of overtime engineering fees connected with the street and sidewalk improvement project and the attorney advised that the time of contract for construction January 20th,1928 and that, in his o~2inion, the City Engin~.oer was entitled to remuneration for six days over and above tho $4,000.00 that Mr. Hallowes agreed to do all en~!%neering work connected with the street and sidewalk improvement project.
