Stevenson, President Sembler, Councilman Chesser, Benschop, Baxter, and ~rhmer.
City Engineer also present.
Minutes of last regular meeting of February 9, and Special called meetings
of February 12, 24, 27 and March 4, were approved as read.
Bills amounting to $3,033.56, were apI.~roved by the Finance Committee
and authorizedt~yb~o~lman Baxter, second by Councilman Benschop. Carried.
Mrs. Chesser made a motion to give all authorize in the hiring of a
third City man to the Chairman of Streets. Second. by Councilman Benschop. Carried.
The Council discus~ed with Mr. Jack Finnegan, the General Development
Corporation proposed Water Plant. This matter was tabled until such time as
Att'y Vocelle and the City Engineer are able to study the Franchise.
The Clerk re-read the bids on the paving of Nineth and S.'::cond Streets in
the City of Sebastian. Councilman Baxter made a motion to reject both bids,
second by Councilman Benschop. Carried.
President Sembler instructed the Clerk to contact Mr. L. K. Thompson,
Landscape Engineer of the State Road Department, to meet with the Council
on the Beautifican of the Parkways in the City.
Councilman Brehmer made a motion to have the City Engineer to find the
South line of the Cemetery. Second by Mrs. Chesser. Carried.
Councilman Baxter made a motion to except the Audit Report on the
condition that it passes the State Examiners.' Second by Mrs. Chesser. Carried.
Councilman Baxter made a motion to purchase a typewriter for the City
at the price of 212.50. Second by Co';.ncilman Brehmer. Carried.
Mr. Lem Brumley requested permission to hold "Drag Races" on one of
the runways at the Airport. Councilman Baxter made a motion to allow Mr. Lem
Brumley to have an agreement drawn up on this project, scond by Mrs. Chesser.
Carried.
Mayor Stevenson read the monthly Police Report which showed a net
profit of $1,103.55.
Councilman Ches~-~er made a motion to adjourn, second by Councilman
