The minutes of the regular meeting of Nebruary 10, 28th and Special
Meeting of March 1st, were read and approved.~
Councilmen Vickers moved that a~ttorney be instructed to prepare an
0rdinace providing for som~ sort of safety device at the point where the
track of the F. E. C. Railway crosses ~ain $~reot in the City of Sebastian;
which was seconded by Councilman Park and carried.
Chapter Number 63.
An Ordinance regulating the operation of public dance halls and other
places of public amusement in the City of Se]~astian, Florida fixing
a closing time for such places of amusement; and prescribing penalitics
for any violation of this ordinace.
Was read for the first time in full.
Councilman Park moved that Ordinance be read the second time by title
only, which was seconded by Councilman¥ickers and carried.
Councilman Vickers moved that Ordinance be read the third time by title
only and put upon its passage, which was seconded by Councilman Park and
carried.
Roll Call: Ayes Councilman Park, Vickers and Martin.
Nays: None.
RESOLUTION 93.~
Whereas, it appears that in the assessme_~'~p~? txxos of C. H. Jones
~n the City of Sebastian for the year 192T'~ clerical error was made
whereby the amount of said taxes were colnl~u~ed as follows: $130.00, ,9-~-;!
when. the same should have been $97.50~ ~9~

Therefore, be it resolved, that t~ City Tax Collector be and she is
hereby authorized and empowered tc ~'~i.~ t, he necessary corrections and
refund to tho said Chas. H. Jones ~.,~0 overcharge on account o,f said
clerical error.
The Above resolution was introduced by Councilman Park and seconded by
Counci lean Vickers.
Those voting in favor of the above resolution were: Councilman Park, Vickers
and Martin.
Those voting against the above resolution were: None.
CounciLman Park moved that Clerk be instructed to write Mr. P. Thomasello
Jr.,~ Liquidatior of the Bank of Sebastian that th~ Council would accept
$100.00 for th~ $1000.00 note of John J. Lyons, vhich the City holds as
collateral s~curity ~or the City of Sebast~n deposit in thc Bank of Sebastian.
The $100.00 to be creditied to the City's account; which was secondod by
Councilman Vickers and carried.
Continuation of Regular meeting March 10, 1930.
MOTION: made by Councilman Vickers, seconded by CouncJ. lman Martin, that
Councilman Park, Chairman of the Street and alley committee be authorized
to have the necessary work done on North and South Central ~venue as explained
by him.
MoticL~n carried.
Councilman Vickers moved that ~?~ following bills be paid, Whmf. eh was seconded
by Council~,uan Park and carried.
Geo. D. Barnard Stationery Company, $2S.92, Florida East Coast Railway Company
$1.00, Sebastian Nercantile Company $12.25 and Jas. J. Rick $5.00.
The Clerk advised the Council when the City of Sebastian turned the meter
deposits over to the Florida Power and Light Company, owning to some of the
records having been misplaced when the City of Sebastian was first created
the Clerk failed to get a complete list but later smcceeded in checking eight,
as still owing and a few doubtful ones.
Councilman Vickers mo~ed the Clerk he instructed to issue check for the sum
of $40.00 to the Florida Power and Light Company for the meter d~posits; mhich
were no~ turned over to th3 Company at the time of ~he sale of the light and
ice plant, and that she be authorized to refund all additional meter deposits
upon proper proof of such deposits having been made.
WhiCh was seconded by Councilman Park and carried.
