SCOPE OF SERVICES — EXHIBIT A
The Engineer shall provide Construction Engineering and Inspection (CEI) for the
Riviera Ave. and Gardenia St. Drainage Improvements Project. The Project may include,
but is not limited to, drainage pipe installation and minor earthwork operations.
The CEI services for Riviera Ave. and Gardenia St. Drainage Improvements shall
include:
• Field observations, including photos and documentations for compliance
• Design modifications as needed (adjustments that can be made with field
changes not requiring EOR)
• Coordination and meetings, including pre -construction and progress meetings,
with the contractor, City, public, utility companies, landowners and testing
fines
• Review all Contractor's change orders
• Review contractor's pay estimates, pay requests, and schedules
• Review shop drawings
• Review of geotechnical test results provided by others
• Preparation of project progress reports as requested
• Coordination of permit conditions and compliance, including preparation of all
required reporting and documents as needed
• Provide City with copies of project records
• Respond to request for information by the contractor and public
• Project Closeout and review of as-builts by others to ensure compliance with
permitting agencies
The Engineer shall observe work performed and material used to determine if the work
has been completed in accordance with the construction contract.
Deliverables
The Engineer shall prepare and submit the following:
1. Construction Completion Package containing the following:
a. Dated final as -built schedule, time file and daily work reports.
b. Field survey/geotechnical verification data provided to Engineer by others.
c. Final as -built plans provided to Engineer by the Contractor.
d. Documentation of progress meetings, public informational meetings, and any
other pertinent project meetings with dates and notes.
e. Documentation of all field decisions which caused any deviation from the plans
and/or specifications.
f. Signed and Sealed test results by others.
g. Documentation of progress payments and final payment to the Contractor.

IT IS AGREED to undertake the following work in accordance with the provisions of RFQ 21-01 - Johnson,
Mirmiran &Thompson, Inc. (JMT), Master Agreement entitled NON-EXCLUSIVE ENGINEERING CONSULTING
SERVICES AGREEMENT dated FEBRUARY 22, 2021.
Description of Assignment:
Johnson, Mirmiran & Thompson, Inc. (JMT) will provide Construction Engineering and Inspection (CEI) for the
Riviera Ave. and Gardenia St. Drainage Improvements Project. The Project may include, but it not limited to,
drainage pipe installation and minor earthwork operations.
