Meeting called to order by President Sweatt.
Those present were Mayor Middleton,President Sweatt and Councilmen Sembler,Shaffer
and Dahlstrom. Mr Voc~lle aisc present,
Minutes of Regular meeting of Jaunuary 8th and special meetings of January 22nd and
· January 30 approved as read.
Bills amounting to 444.28 approved by finance committee were ordered paid on motion
by Councilman Dahlstrom and secor~d, ed by Councilman Sembler. Carr~ed.
Mr Stevenson was given permission to place small sign on the river side of Highway
number one on motion by Councilman Sembler and seconded by Councilman Shaffer.Carried.
The Clerk was ordered to renew the subscription for the Governmental Guide on a
motion by Councilman Sembler and seconded by Councilman Shaffer. Ca ried.
Mrs Marion Thomas representing the P.T.A. asked the Council's permisslom.,for the Cpunty
Nurse to use the rear room of the City Hall to care for the School Children.of this ~lstrtc
and also Mr Haddon the Sanitary inspector to use same space.The County to furnish de~k ~nd
chairs.Permission was given on motion byCouncilman ~mbler and seconded by Councilman Shaffer.
It was moved by Councilman Sembler and seconded by Councilman Dahlstrom that the Clerk
refund Eleven dollars and fifty four cents to Mrs R.B.Letchworth for taxes over paid because
of duplication of Lot 11 Block 1. This refund to cover 1946-1949 inclusive.Carried.
Motion by CouncilmanShaffer and seconded by Councilman Sembler for Clerk to write 1
for the re location of two City Street lights.Carried.
On motion by Councilman Shaffer which was seconded by Councilman Sembler the .City Council
. ~chased an electric grinder for the amount of twenty dollars.Carried.
A petition was presented to the City Council which was turned over to the Mayor consistin~
of over one hundred names asking that Officer Loncon be kept on the police force.
The Mayor said he would give the petition due consideration up to the first day-.of March.
There being no more business meeting adjourned.

and Dahlstrom. Councilman Sembler absent.

Bills to the amount of $ 4?3.63 were ordered paid on motion by Councilman Dahlstrom
which was seconded by Counbilman Ellingsen.Carrled.
On motion by Councilman Shaffer and seconded by Councilman Elllngsen the Clerk was
instructed to get bids on calking the' outside east and rear walls of the City Hall and
to paint same. Work to go to low bidder.
~t was moved by Councilman Ellingsen and seconded by Counailman ~ahlstrom to adjourn
meeting 7.30 P.M. of March 20,1981. carried.

Those present were Mayor Middleton, President Sweatt and Councilmen Sembler, Ellingsen,
Shaffer and Oahlstrom. Attorney James T.Vocelle also present.
Application ?or building permit was submitted,by S.A.Rud~ and was approyed on a
motion by Oouncilman Sembler which was seconded by Councilman Ellingsenl Carried,
Councilman Dahlstrom repo~ted on the progress of the Fire Department and reported
that donations that have come for the tepartment since November amount to a little over
$400.00 and that the '~epartment was~bbuying inch and one half hose and asked the City to
buy them a new nozzle~fog type) for their one inch hose.

said fo g nozzel for the Fire Oepartment. uarried.

Mrs Dorthy Frazee asked the City Uouncil's permission to use the City Hall for the
'ese of regi~terl~gn of all those to serve on the Civil Defense.Motion by Councilman
,strom which was seconded by uouncilman Ellingsen approved same . Carried.
It was moved by Councilman Ellingsen and seconded b~ Councilman Sembler that a letter
of reccomendation be written for Stanley F.Loncoln and said letter to be signed by the Council-
men and mailed to him at Naples ~'lorida. Carried.
In order to have enough cash on hand to cash the employee's checks,the Clerk was
authorized to issue check for the amount of $350.00 and keep fund replenished at all times
on motion by uouncilman Sembler and seconded by uouncitman Shaffer.C:~rried.
There being no more business it was moved to adjourn by Councilman and aeconded by Counc

Regular Meeting April 9,1951
Meeting called to order by President Sweatt.
Those present were Mayor Mlddleton,President Sweatt and Councilmen Sembler,~lllngsen,
Shaffer and Dahlstrom. Attorney Vocelle absent.
Minutes of last meeting of March 12th.were approved as read.
Bills to the amount OF $ ~46.80 were approved by finance committee and were ordered
@aid on motion by Councilmam Dahlstrom and seconded by Councilman ~llingsen.Carrled
·Reverand Moore and Committee from the Baptist Church asked permission from the City
$ouncll to place sign on south wea~ corner of Washington Place and U.S.Highway 1. to indicate
the approch to the ~apylst Church. Said request was granted on motion by Councilman Sembler
and seconded by Uouncilman Ellingsen.Oarried,
The City Council after inspecting the bids on calking and painting the east and north
·alls of the olty Hall awarded the contract to Alger Engstrom as he being low bidder.carried
~aid award was made on motion by Councilman Sembler and aeconded by ~ouncilman Elllngsen.

The Council after inspecting bids on the interior wall of the ta~ge room of the City Hall
.dedcto ask for bids to paint all rooms in building with the exception of store room and
.1 closet. The rooms to be painted are two large rooms and toilet,each to all walls painted
coat of water paint and the woodwork to have two coats of oil paint including windows.

~nd said check to be deposited in the sinking fund for future use.

On motion by Oouncilman sllingsen which was ssconded by oouncilman Dahlstrom the
~lerk was instructed to secure safety deposit box for the City of Sebastian at the Indian
~iver Citrus Bank when needed. Carried.
Clerk was authorized to purchase necessary artllces for the City Hall.
