Meeting was called to order by President Sembler.
Those present were ~ayor Taylor,President Sembler and Councilman Benschop,Nash,
Chesser,Councilman Kutch absent.
Minutes of the lamt regular meeting of February 13,1956 and special called
meeting of February 20,werw approved as read.
Bills amounting to Five Hundred One Gollars and Sixty Two cents~$501.62) was
approved by the Fln~mce Committee and authorized to be p~id on motion by Council
Nash and seconded by Councilman Benschop. Carried.
President Sembler introduced .complaints from citizens concerning'location of
dog pound. It was agreed to postpone construct, ion of this pound until a later date.
The Clerk was instructed to call Buckingham Wheeler Agency about a discount
on the insurance policy of the City dump truck.
Mr. George Sweatt gave the City Council information as to the cost of in-
stallation of the Park lights and agreed to install same.
Councilman Cheeser made a motion that Two more lights be installed in the
City park,secc~ded by Councilman Nash. Carried.
Councilman Chesser was requested to conta ct Womans Club about the purchasing
of new eculptment for the shuffle~en~Seard court.
President Sembler reported Citl--zens complaint on conditions of Cemetery.
Councilman Nash reported that the Fire Dept.oldest truck is practicall~ use-
less and the cost of a new one would be approximately Thirty Five Hundred Dol-
lars($5500.00~ Councilman Sembler recuested Councilman Nash to get figures as
to donationsrece~ved so as the Council could act upon what the City can do to
to he lp purchase a new truck .... , ~ ti~ ~J~
The subject of'."a privately owned water system~a& introduced to th~ Council
by Mayor Taylor and the Council aMreed to invite the sponsors of th~s project to
the next regular meeting Ap~-~ll 9th.
~yor Taylor read a letter f rom Bob Jen~lngs the County health Dept. agent
stating his solution to the proper drainage of certain ditches in Sebastian.
President Sembler recon~nended to the Council ~ increase in the Clerks
salary of Fifty dollars per month making a total salary of Two Hun:red dollars
($200.00) per month.A motion to that effect was made by Councilman Nas~, seconded
by Councilman Benschop.Carried.
The Clerk was instructed to contact Railroad Station Agent and have him clear
the crossingat Main Street.
The Council agreed that ~rs. Chesser should have a warranty deed for land
purchased from the City.
The Clerk was asked ~to report to Councilman Kutc~ about a light being out
on North Central Ave.
Two building permit~ were presented to the Council and approved.
Councilman Nash made a motion that the Council adjourn,seconded by Council-
aah Bensch~p. Carried.

Those present were Mayor Taylor,Pres. Sea, let,Councilmen Nash,Chesser, Ben-
schop and Kutch.
Chief of Police,Russel F. Masker resignation was accepted by the Council by
the following vote.
yes: Councilman Chesser,Kutch,Nash and Benschop.
ays: None.
a motion was made by Coumcilman Chesser to adjourn,Seconded by Councilmau
Benschop. Carried.
