obtaining the strip of land through legislative action.
Mr. Nc'"illiams suggested that we call a citizens meeti~g, and ~et in tc;,uch
with the county commissioners of both counties, and lot the commissioners pass
on it 0ef~re presenting a bill before the legislature.
Motion to adjourn was made by Wields, seconded by Baughman, meeting
adjourned.

~,~eeting was calla~,d to order, and minutes of oegular ~eeting of k~arch,
13th, were read and approved.
Mr. A. Foster, who was present called the attention of the council
to some needed repairs on Louisana ~venue, and stated that the earlier it
was done the less expense it would be. The matter was referred to the
Street Committee, to see about costs of repairing. ~,.~otion was made by
Vickers, seconded by BaugtLman to empower the committee 'to aOout repairing
it at once, provided it would not cost over ~20.00, motion carri ed.
Councilman Glasgow brought to the attention of the Council in re~ard to
the removal of thepresent occupants , Nr. Slmes and family from the ~atch
residence, and support was given by the council, who deemed it advisable
to have them removed at once, as undesirable renters,a~l and for non-pay-
ment of rents due the City for the month of March.
Attention was brought to the council by Councilman Vickers in regard to
the fertilizing the grove in Ed~ewater ~ark, and met with support by ~he
council, and voted to empower Councilman Vickers to see about fertilizing
grove. Motion was made by Glasgow, seconded by Fields, motion carried.
Mr. ~. B. Letchworth who was present, brought a question before the
council, as to oil companies peddling gas and oil to consumers, and furnish-
lng tanks for same, and selling gas to persons for private use.
.And question was brought up whether they should pay license '{~o handle
same, and to persons in their employ, especially fish dealers suppl?~ing
gas to their boats.
Noaction was taken at this time, but was deferred until further investi-
gation; ·
Clerk was instructed to write to the Amerisan Agricultural Chemical Co.
in re.v:i~.ard to their delinquent taxes on property acquired by them from
w. C. Braddock.
