City Tax Assessor and City Tax Collector and as to alloffi-
ces associated with such offices in the ~ity of Sebastian.

Resignation of Miss Logan was accepted and was made effective immediately.
Mable K. Holland Was appointed and took the Oath .of Office as City Clerk
of Sebastian, Fla. Motioh was ~a~e .by ~Councilman Turlington, duly seconded
by Councilman Bohannon that .the City Clerk should fill out.all ~ecessary papers
to become a Notary Public.

Minutes of Meeting of City
Council of .Sebastian, Fla.
April 2, 1946
The City Council of 'the City of Sebastian met in regular session at
?:00 P. M. April. 2, 1946 in the City Hall. Present' were Mayor Shafor, Council-
men Middleton, Bohannon, Semhler, Smith ..and Turlln~on., Chief of .Police Holland
and Attorney Mitchell.
By reason of the absence of the City Clerk on account of illness the
reading of minute~ of the last meeting was deferred.
Councilman Turllngton reported on the unsanitary oon~itions existing
at the F. E. C. Railroad Section Houses, at the S. A. Braswei!.property occupied
bM Mr. Flood and Mrs Lloyd and the Thompson'property. The 'CoUncil instructed
t]aat the City Clerk notify the owners of these properties and t'he persons occupy-

within' fifteen days next after the date of Such notification.
Upon motion by ~ounci,lman Sembler, seconded by Counci~enan Smith an~
unamumo~sly adopted it was directed that the City correct the drainage across
Cemtral Ave.. north of 1st S~reet and ~hy the cost thereof.
Upon motion by Councilman Smith, seconded by Councilman Turlington and
unanimously adopted the appropriate officials of the City were authorized to
purchase from Indian River County lots 12 to 15 inc. in Block 3 of A. G. RoseSs
Subdivision and lots 1 to 4 in W. A. Martins S/D.
The bill of R. E. Turlington in the amount of $44.68 was approved for
payment upon motion by Councilman Sembler and seconded by Councilman Smith~ and
adopted.
A.discussion was had with reference to the provision of colored rest
rooms in the City and the matter was referred to the Sanitary Committee for
investigation and report.
There being no further t~usiness the meeting was then duly adjourned.
