Your attention is called to the enclosed Notice which
is self-explanatory. While it has been policy and practice
of the Trustees of the Internal Improvement Fund to issue to
the local governing body a copy of such Notice simultaneously
with release of the Notice to a newspaper for publication in
the County in which the subject land is situated, the Trustees
of the Internal Improvement Fund, in their meeting of June 25,
1963, suggested that copy of the Notice directed to the local
governing body should be accompanied by a brief letter re-
questing that the action contemplated by the Trustees, as set
forth in the Notice be given attention.
It is, therefore, requested that the contemplated sale
or other action be noted and, in the event you find the same
to be adverse to public or private rights, you advise the
Trustees prior to the date fixed in the Notice for further
consideration and action by the Trustees, setting forth your
objection and the basis therefor.
If the contemplated sale or other action, as described in
the Notice is not deemed by you to be objectionable, no formal
reply of assent is needed.
Sincerely yours,

Attached herewith is a copy of a notice for a scheduled
public hearing on February 23, 1965, before the Trustees
of the Internal Improvement Fund in Tallahassee.
This application is for the purchase of submerged land by
Paul R. Stevenson in relation to the property he owns east
of Old U. S. ,1#1 lying between Coolidge Street and Fellsmere
Road. From the sketch by Lloyd & Associates the property
lies south of the extended centerline of Fellsmere Road.
The Board of County Commissioners thought it best to bring
this to your attention and decision on whether consideration
should be made for the possible construction of a bridge
across the river at this point.
Respectfully,
E. S. Schmucker, Jr.
