Councilmen Eling_~sen,Chesser,~rehraer and Benschop. Minutes of the last re .~ular m,~ettn~ of Earch 11,1957 and special called m~eting of' March ~1,195~ v~ere approved as read, Bills~amounting to ~1,481.55 was approved by the Finance Co mit~ee and authorized to be paid on motion by Councilmn El.~ingsen,seconded by Mrs.Chesser. Carried. it was move_d by~Councilm, n ~l~gsen that the City furnish food for-the Ma~ 1st dedica- tion of the Oity Hall and ~ire Station,seconded by Councilman Brehmer.Carri~,d. Clerk was instructed by the Council to contact Doug Baker for information on the in- land waterway through Sebastian. ~rs. Chesser reported to thc Council that Wodtke's Dept. Store had submitted a bid on drapes for the City Hall and matchstick curtains for the Clerk's Office at a bid of ~l~.12. Mayor Taylor was asked to get a bid from Sture Interiors for the same. Clerk was instructed to contact R.F.Lloyd for a meeting with the City Council at his co nveni ence. The matter of a second Policeman was discussed and Mayor Taylor agreed to get a~l in- formation possible on applicants now on file and report to the Council as soon as possible Me~vor Taylor read the monthly Police report which showed a net of $1,~.74.28. Councilman Ellingsen made a motion the City reimburse the Fire Dept, Eight dollars and tweney five cents monthly On their telephonw bill,seconded by Councilman Benschop.Carried. Richaed Waltermire placed a bid ~o the City for the sodding of B200 Sq.ft. of ground space.This bid was $1?6.00.Mrs. Chesser made a motion to accep~ this bid providing the footag~ is conrect.Seconded by Cou cil?~qn Ellingsen.Carried, Councilman Ellingsen made a motion the Ciey pay the flat rate on the Policeman's tele- phone each month, se conded by Councilman Brehmer.Carried. Clerk was authorized to get figures on cost of grates for the manholes on 9th Street, C$111ngsen made a motion the City give Mrs.Chesser a Quit Claim Deed on th,~T_part of Harrison Street West of South Central ~venue.Seconded by Councilman Breh~n®r.Carried. Councilman Brehmer made a motion to adjourn,seconded by Councilman Benschop,Carried. Pres.
