called to order at 7:00 P.M.
present: Councilmen Owens, Bruce, Johnson, Leonardy and Zimmer.
Councilman Zimmer was seated as Mayor-Pro-tem.
Council President Pro-tern Leonardy assumed the chair.
Minutes of regular meeting of March 8, 1965 were read and approved.
Mayor Boone arrived and was seated.
On motion by Councilman Bruce March bills, in the amount of $1414.99, were approved for
payment. Seconded by Councilman Johnson. Carried.
Committee reports were read.
Clerk was instructed to write letter to General Development Corporation re Fleming Street.
Motion by Councilman I, eonardy that $1000.00 from Cemetery Fund be made available for work
in cemetery. Seconded by Councilman Owens. Carried.
Motion by Councilman ~eonardy that load-packer be purchased from Roland Hiller Chevrolet
for $1795.00, if equipment is approved by Councilman Johnson. Seconded by Councilman Bruce.
Carried.
Motion by Councilman Johnson to table codification of ordinances. Seconded by Councilman
. Carried.
Motion by Councilman Johnson that a committee composed of the ~inance Committee be appointed
to recommend changes in certain ordinances. Seconded by Councilman Owens. Carried.
Motion by Councilman Owens to table discussion on signs. Seconded by Councilman Johnson. Carri~
Motion by Councilman Leonardy to request~amendme~t to city charter authorizing "fresh pursuit"
by city police. Seconded by Councilman ~ Johnson.

Motion by Councilman Owens to allow Mr. Burt Snell to remove two (2) cabbage palms from
right-of-way on North Central Ave. without replacement. Seconded by Councilman Leonardy.
Carried.
Motion by CounciRman Bruce to call in Hunnioutt & Assoc. for assessing at a cost of $225.00
of which $75.00 will be paid from contingency fund. Seconded by Councilman Johnson. Carried.
Motion by Councilman Owens that city place a one-page ad in the anniversary edition of the
Press Journal at a cost not to exceed $110.00. Seconded by Councilman Johnson. Carried.
Motion to adjourn by Councilman Johnson.
