Called by Mayor Badger for the following purpose:
Consid~::~ring and acting upon an 0rdinanco prohibiting-the transportation
on or through the City of Sebastian, Florida of any citrus fruits or vegetables
unloss the person or persons transporting tho same shall have a certificate
signed b~ some Sanitary 0fficor of the State of Florida, or some County or
Municipality thereof; showing that such fruits or vegetables are free from
any harmful'diseaso, germ or insect; excepting,however, from the provisions of
this ordinance the transportation of fruit and vegetables to pacing hous~s,
and the transportation of fruit and vegetables when wrapped and packed for shipment
in covered containers; providing penalaties for violation of this ordiance.

Nays: None.
MOTION: made by Councilman Vickers, seconded 'by Councilman Hardee that Chairman
Martin, appoint a committee of one to serve on the Board with St Lucie and
Indian River Counties.
Motion carried.
The Chairman appointed Councilman Vickers, with Councilman Hardee a~ alternate.
The Council recommended ~. S. A. Braswell and I~. R. C. Powers as inspectors.

Patchen's proposition and other business that might properly be brought
before the Council.

Dr. Patchen asked for info.muation as 'to building permits, the moving of
buildings, the requirements in building docks etc; he asked tha~ the Council
look into his ~x assessment as he considered the amount high in comparison
to that of his neighbors. The council agreed to investigate.
Chairman ~rtin ext~lained to the Council a conm~unication received ~rom
Sumner and Sumner in reference to the Cook Bonds and it was decided by -the
Council to instruct the Attorney that they would accept the proposition of
Sumner and Sumner in re{:~ard to the two Cook bonds numbers 4 and 5 9298-B
of the City of Sebastian, in 'the sum of {1000.00 each, being Sidewalk bonds.
The proposition being to pay ~1500.00 plus the accrued interest and carry the
{500.00 balance for a period of twelve months.
The Clerk presented bill from I~ir. Cooper for cratlns cork insulation which
was shipped to the T. J. Barnett Company, Palatka this was ordered cr~tod by
Mr. Williamson. Councilman Hardee chairman of the finance committee refused to
0 .K. b ill.
Upon motion made by Councilman Hicks, seconded by Councilman Park She bill
from Mr. Cooper ~o~ $2.00 for crating cork be not allov~ed.
Motion carried.
