meeting called to order by ~resident ~weatt.
'~'hose answering roll call were A~ayor Shaffer,Fresident Sweatt,~ounctlmen
Sembler,~llingsen,~ash and A'aylor.
Minutes of the last meeting of April 7th.were approved as read.
~uilding permit ~for William ~etchworth was approved on motion by ~ouncllman
mllingsen and seconded by ~euncllman ~embler.carrie~,
ouilding permit for methodist ~hurch was approved on motion by ~ouncilman
mllingsen and seconded by ~ouncllman ~embler.carried.
ouilding permit for the bhurch of ~od was approved on motion 'by ~ouncilman
mllingsen and seconded by ~ouncilman ~aylor.carried.
Mrs E.W.Vickers and Mrs A.EosSer were visitors and mrs Wickers asked if the
~ity could have a well drilled in ~he ~emetery.Said request ~as turned over to the
Chairman of ~he ~treet and Alley Committee Councilman Sembler and ~lerk was requested
to contact 'z.C.~arshall and have him report as te the best p&ace t~ drill well te
guarran~y water.
It then moved by ~ouncllman mllingeen and seconded by ~ouncllman ~ash that the
~halrman ef the ~treet and Alley Committee be' authorized to act according to the report
from the well driller ~ar Marshall.carried.
At was also requested that gra~e en W.C.Broddock's lot which had sunk be refilled
and ~ouncllman ~embler told them he would take care of it.
Abe City was requested to bill Mr Rogers for lSt A,block ?,section ~ Sebastian
uemetery at the old price of ,10.00 as ~hat was the price ef the lots previous to
the ~lty taking or_er the upkeep ef the ~emetery,Said let was previously owned by
n.B.Ryall.ulerk was autherlzed te handle transaction in that way.
Councilman mash reported he had inspected the ~olice ~ar and reported to the
that the should have a paint Job to protect the value of the car when the time came te
turn car in for a new one.
Mayer Shaffer made the same report te ~he ~ouncil as ~ouncilman mash did and
oouncilman .~embler moved that car be taken te Mac'S in miami for pains Job and said
motion was seconded by ~euncllman mllingsen.carried.
~eUncill~n' told the ~ouncil that he needed two rubbish cans te hold rubbish left
by people who use the ~lty'Fark tables to eat their lunch.
~ayor ~haffer told the ~ouncll ~hat he had sworn in mr as ~ollce ufficer
to ride with ~hief Adams at ne pay.
At ~[as moved by ueuncilman ~embler that the mayor sell any of the old tires for
best price he can get.~ald motion seconded by ~ouncllman mlllngsen and Sarrled.
There being no more business meeting was duly adjourned.
