IN EMERGENCY SITOATIONS AS DETERMINED BY THE POLICE CHIEF, WITH THE APPROVAL OF THE MAYOR.

MR. LLOYD HARRISON DISCUSSED THE ACTION TAKEN BY THE BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT AND QUESTIONED THE LEGALITY
OF SAID ACTION, IN THE CASE OF VARIANCE FOR JOHN PALMER'S SMOKE HOUSE. UPON ADVICE OF CITY ATTORNEY,
COUNCILMAN LAMBERT MADE A MOTION THAT BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT SUBMIT REPORT AS REQUIRED BY SECTION 176.10
OF THE STATE STATUTES. AFTER RECEIPT OF SAID REPORT, IF CITY ATTORNEY APPROVES AS TO LEGAL
SUFFICIENCY, CLERK MAY THEN ISSUE BUILDING PERMIT TO MR. JOHN PALMER. SECONDED BY COUNCILMAN SNELL.
CARRIED.
