Those Present were ~Iayor Shaffer,President Sweatt,Councilmen Ellingsen Dahlstrom and Nash.Councilman Sombler a0sent.J.T.Vocelle City ~ttorney present. There being no corrections of the last meeting minu~es,they were approved aS read,. Bills amounting to $338.10 approved by the ~'inance Committee were ordered paid on motion 0y Councilman Ellingsen and seconded oy cou~cilman Nash. 0n advice of the City attorney J.T.Vocelle Councilman Ellingsen moved that all the new bonds the City had bought up from the 1950 issue be cancelled,and said motion seconded by:t;ouncilman ~ahlstrom. Councilman absent. Under committee reports Councilman told 'the Council that the ~'ire Truck blew out a tire and they had to get another tire to replace the one blown. Councilman Sem~'r reported that parts for the mower cost more than the ,%~ 25.00 allow~uce but it was due to the raise in the price in parts since 'the last time the same parts were purchased. l~inutes of the last meeting were approved as read. The Council authorized a building permit for Dave '£'itus on motion by Councilman Sembler which was seconded by Councilman Dahlstrom. Paul R.Stevenson asked permission to build a dock on City Property on Indian river' opposite lot 13 in Block 5 which is property owned by ~,~r Stevenson. It was moved 'by Councilman Sembler and seconded by Council~nan Mash that Mr Stevenson to allowed to build said dock and in as much as it is to be a public dock for fishing that the ~ttorney draw up an agreement whereby the City of Sebastian would not be held liable for any accident or any othercause that might reflect on the City that might cause an expense. Bill for $4.50 presented by ~rs Adams for furnishing six meals to prisoner was un lm' authorized to be paid on motion oy ?~em~er~n :~nd seconded by CounciLman 0ahlstrom A letter from North Indian River Chamber of Commerce was read to the Council ask: for support in form of don,'~tion and on motibn by Councilman Dahlstrom which was seconded 0y Councilman Sembler said letter was tabled. The Clerk was instructed to wriSe a letter to Dr~vKelso Director of health unit asking what can 'be done,and informing him of the complaints ~bout fish that had been deposited in the river and washed ashore causing an o~fensive odor,and also to secure information if it was contrary to sanitary rules for an agency ~or a lau~mry ~o ss in the same building and room where the public is served ice cream and said dirty laundry being brought in from the public to ~e Die-ed ~y '~m~. ~ ~,m= ~'~(A sy ,~ouL'cilman Sembler that after ~ay 26,1952 that any City employee will have to work one year before being granted a vacatlon,sa~ --o~-i~'~. ~s seconded by Councilman Nash.
