MR. MAYER REQUESTED PERMISSION OF THE COUNCIL TO RE-WRITE TWO ORDINANCES - ONE IS THE DRIVEWAY
ORDINANCE AND THE OTHER COVERS THE NATIONAL ELECTRIC CODE.
MR. DALE WEHR REPORTED THAT THE STREET DEPARTMENT WORKED A TOTAL OF 2,002 HOURS. HE STATED THAT THE
EMPLOYEES HAVE DONE A GOOD JOB OF CLEANING THE CANALS AND REQUESTED THAT IT WOULD BE APPRECIATED IF
THE TAXPAYERS WOULD NOT DUMP THEIR GRASS CUTTINGS INTO THE CANALS. MR. WEHR THANKED MR. FARRAR FOR
THE DONATION TO THE GARAGE OF A 1% TON HOIST.
MAYOR FLOOD STATED THAT THE CEMETERY ASSOCIATION WAS INCORPORATED IN 1927, BUT REMAINED DORMANT
UNTIL IT WAS REACTIVATED IN FEBRUARY, 1979. THE NUMBER OF THE CORPORATION IS 750988 AND HAS BEEN
PUT INTO THE COMPUTER IN TALLAHASSEE.
MR. JOSEPH LANCASTER REPORTED THAT THE CITY HAS TAKEN IN $667,443. IT WAS ANTICIPATED THAT $709,500.
WOULD BE TAKEN IN SO 94% OF OUR ANTICIPATED INCOME HAS BEEN ACHIEVED. $434,633. HAS BEEN EXPENDED,
OR ABOUT 62% OF THE BUDGET. MOTION BY COUNCILWOMAN MC KINLEY, SECONDED BY COUNILMAN OBERBECK, TO
PERMIT MRS. CATHERINE APEL TO SERVE ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES AT A GRADUATION PARTY AT THE SOCIAL CENTER

COUNCILMAN OBERBECK REPORTED THAT THE PUMP AT THE SWIM LAKE HAS BEEN REPAIRED. HE WOULD LIKE TO PURSUE
THE POSSIBILITY OF PLACING ANOTHER SMALL DIVING PIER THERE SO THAT A GREATER PORTION OF THE LAKE CAN BE
ACTIVATED. THE BALL FIELD IS GOING TO BE GRADED AND THE INFIELD CUT THIS WEEK. THE BACKSTOP IS IN
STORAGE. HE MET WiTH THE NORTH COUNTY RECREATION COMMITTEE AND DISCUSSED THE PLACEMENT OF A JOGGING
TRACK AROUND THE PERIMETER OF THE RECREATION AREA AND SOME HANDBALL COURTS. THE PURCHASE OF PLAYGROUND
EQUIPMENT iS BEING CONSIDERED, ALSO SOME SOCCER NETS AND BENCHES FOR THE SOCCER TEAM OUT AT THE FOOT-
BALL FIELD. THE REFRESHMENT STAND WILL HAVE THE TIE BEAM COMPLETED TOMORROW AND SHOULD BE READY FOR
ROOFING THIS NEXT WEEK-END.
COUNCILMAN OBERBECK STATED THAT HE STILL IS NOT SATISFIED WITH THE MANNER IN WHICH THE COMMUNITY CENTER
IS BEING KEPT. HE WOULD LIKE TO RESTAIN THE SIDING ON THE FRONT OF THE BUILDING AND WILL PURSUE THIS
MATTER FURTHER. MAYOR FLOOD ADDED THAT A MEETING WILL BE HELD WITH COUNCILMAN OBERBECK, MR. WEHR, THE
CUSTODIAN OF THE COMMUNITY CENTER AND HIMSELF TO DISCUSS THE SITUATION.

FUND, WE HAVE INVESTED $13,000. AT 14.956%. THIS WILL BECOME DUE DECEMBER 17, 1980. THIS MONEY WAS
PREVIOUSLY IN A CHECKING ACCOUNT. WE HAVE ALSO OPENED A DEPOSIT SAVINGS ACCOUNT FOR THE AIRPORT
FUND WITH $2,282.49. THIS WILL EARN 5%%. WHAT THIS DEPOSIT ACCOUNT IS, INSTEAD OF LEAVING THE
MONEY iN A CHECKING ACCOUNT, AS WE RECEIVE MONIES FOR THE AIRPORT FUND, WE WILL DEPOSIT THEM IN THE
SAVINGS ACCOUNT AND AS WE NEED MONEY IN THE CHECKING, TAKE IT FROM THAT AND PUT IT IN THE CHECKING
ACCOUNT TO USE iT. iN THE REVENUE SHARING FUND, THERE'S NEVER BEEN A SAVINGS ACCOUNT FOR THAT AND
WE OPENED A DEPOSIT SAVINGS ACCOUNT - $15,000. THE CEMETERY FUND, WE HAD A TRUST FUND ACCOUT WHICH
WAS EARNING 5~% IN A REGULAR PASSBOOK, WE PUT THAT INTO A 30 MONTH CERTIFICATE AT 10-3/4%, WHICH COM-

POSITED THAT IN A CERTIFICATE OF DEPOSIT AT 9% WHICH' WILL BE DUE 11/18/80. WE RECEIVED $70,000.
WORTH OF TAX MONEY AND WE INVESTED 50% OF THAT AT 10.79%, WHICH WILL BECOME DUE 11/5/80. TO KEEP
