MOTION BY COUNCILMAN HOOSE, SECONDED 8Y COUNCILMAN FLOOD THAT MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING APRIL 9TH AND SPECIAL MEETING APRIL 25TH BE ACCEPTED AS READ. CARRIED. MOTION 8Y COUNCILMAN YATES TBAT APRIL 8ILLS IN THE AMOUNT OF ~3249.78 BE PAID. FLOOD. CARRIED. 238 SECONDED BY COUNCILMAN MR. JOHN C. CONNORS THANKED THE COUNCIL FOR A~AR~ING EMPLOYEES INSURANCE CONTRACT TO HIS COMPANY, METROPOLITAN LIFE INSURANCE COMPANY. VICE MAYOR CRAGG REPORTED THAT THE PAVING OF MAIN STREET HAD BEEN COMPLETED. MR. JACK JENNINGS, COUNTY ADMINISTRATOR, AND MR. JAMES L. BIENDORF, CONSULTING ENGINEER OF BIENDORF & ASSOCIATES, DISCUSSED iN DETAIL THE SE~ER AND dATER PLAN FOR THE COUNTY, AFTER WHICH A LENGTHY QUESTION AND ANSWER PERIOD ~AS HELD. COUNCIL QUESTIONED ~HEN AND AT ~HA] STAGE THE CITY OF SEBASTIAN ~OULD 8E INCLUDED. COUNCILMAN HOOSE STATED THAT THE CEMETERY FUND RAD RECEIVED A '~42.00 DONATION FOR THE PURCHASE OF ARBORVITAE FOR CEMETERY AND REQUESTED CLERK TO SEND NOTE OF THANKS TO THE DONOR, MRS. IDA WILLIAMS. COUNCILMAN YATES REQUESTED THAT ITEMS ON BIDS FOR COM~UNITY BUILDING 8E REMOVED FROM AGENDA UNTIL NEXT REGULAR ~EETING. ~ MOTION BY COUNCILMAN YATES, SECONDED BY VICE MAYOR CRAGG THAT CITY OF SEBASTIAN PARTICIPATE IN COUNTY BUS SYSTEM AND PAY OUR FAIR SHARE. CARRIED. MOTION 8Y COUNCILMAN HOOSE THAT ORDINANCE ON ARTICLE V, CHAPTER 72-403 (A8OLISHING MUNICIPAL COURT OF SEBASTIAN) BE ~FAD FOR FIRST TIME IN ITS ENTIRETY AND BE ADOPTED BY THE CITY. CARRIED. 239 MOTION BY ViCE MAYOR CRAGG, SECONDED BY COUNCILMAN HOOSE THAT OUR CITY ATTORNEY PREPARE ORDINANCE FOR CHANGE OF SEC. 302.2 OF THE SOUTH FLORIDA BUILDING CODE AS ADOPTED OY THE CITY. CARRIED. MOTION BY VICE MAYOR CRAGG THAT RESOLUTION ON CONDE~INATION OF SIMES HOUSE ON NORTH CENTRAL AVENUE BE ADOPTED. SECONDED BY COUNCIL51AN HOOSE. CARRIED. (COPY ATTACHED) CITY ATTORNEY GAVE REPORT STATING THAT NO VIOLATION EXISTED ON THE USE OF ~DC MODEL HOUSE ON SCHUMANN DRIVE. COUNCIL REQUESTED THAT A LETTER BE WRITTEN TO ROBERT DUERDEN TO CLEAR PROPERTY ON NORTH CENTRAL AVENUE IN ACCORDANCE i~ITH CITY ORDINANCE ON LAND CLEARANCE. MOTION BY VICE MAYOR CRAGG, SECONDED BY COUNCILMAN HOOSE TO CHANGE NAME OF PRESENT ZONING COM~IITTEE TO "ZONING AND PLANNING COMiqiTTEE" AND TO INCLUDE TLVO (2~; NEN MEMBERS, MR. GORDON ROTH AND COUNCILMAN ERVIN YATES. CARRIED.
