Upon roll call the following members was found to be present,
~ayor, Geo. T. B~dger, Councilman, ~. a. Hardee, qlas.~ow, Bau~Thman,
!?oy K. Fields, Attorney, .Jas..T~ Vocelle. ~:]. ~'~ ~icke?'s being absent.
~.~inutes of ~egular ~,.~eeting of ~.ay, 8th, were read and approved.
.~n ordinance prescribing a ~.icense ~ax to be levied on persons
manufacturing, distributing, and vending of ~alt and Vinous beverages was
introduced by Councilman Fields, and read first time in full, upor. uila~mous
consent of the council, was read second time by title only, being; no amend-
ments upon unanamous consent of the council, was read third time by title
only, and placed upon its final passage; those voting for its adoption was
as follows; ayes, ~ardee, Glasgow, Baughman, Fields, Nays, none.
A motion was made by Baughman, and seconded by Fields that clerk be
instructed to give due notice as to the amount of license to be imposed
upon persons engaged in the sale of ~.~alt and Vinous Beverages of not more
than 3.2~, covered by the above ordinance, motion carried.
A motion was made by Baughman, seconded by Glasgow,that clerk notify
all persons in the ~ity, who have not paid their occupational licenses, that
the same r~ust 0e paid by June, 15th, or proceedings will be taken after that
date, motion carried.
Clerk was also instructed by Council to inform ~..~r. Art Smith granting
their permission to let him fill in and beautify the East end of ?'inth Street,
provided no bill would be rendered against the City for work done.
A motion was made wields, seconded by Baughman to adjourn, motion
carried, meeting adjourned.
