Meeting called to o~der by President Sweatt. · Zhose present were Mayor Shaffer,President Sweatt and uouncilmen Sembler,Ellingsen Nash and Taylor. ~ Minutes of the previous meeting were approved as read. Bills amounting to ,108.10 approved by the finance committee were authorized to be paid on motion by oouncilman mllingsen and seconded by councilman Nash.~arried. ~ulldlng permit presented by Alger ~ngstrom was approved on motion by Councilman Sembler and seconded by councilman mllingsen.oarried. An agreement compiled by the city Attorney between the City of Sebastian and ~lme H.Kir~land was read by the olerk and was accepted on a motion by Councilman waylor which was seconded by Councilman Nash and ~arrled. Mr Archie Smith and W.H.0wen representing the '£rustees of the ~hurch of Ged met with the city Council and ehked permission to erect a tent for revival services,said permission was grahted on motion by 0ouncllman slllngsen and seconded by Councilman Taylor.Said land for said services are lets 1 to 8 in Block 2 ef the Ocean Breeze Subdivision.Mr Smith and Mr Owen also told the Council the Church of God would like te squire this land to build a Church on.The Council said they would consult the City Attorney as to legal rights ef the 0ouncil te dispose of said lets in as much as they had been designated as a park in that subdivlslen. There being no more business meeting was duly adjourned. Clerk Hegular Meeting April 13,1~53. Meeting called to order by ~resident Sweatt. Th~se answering roll call were Mayor Shaffer,PreSident Sweatt and Councilmen Sembler,mlllngsen and 'x'aylor. Meeting ef March 23 minutes were approved as read. ~ills amounting to ~ 287.39 which having been approved by the finance committee were authorized te be paid on motion by councilman ,:llingsen and seconded by Oeuncllman Taylor. carried. A letter fr~m the Glty Attorney stateing his findings as to whether the City could er could not sell the lets 1 to 8 in Block 2 of the Ocean Breeze Subdivision te build a 0hutch en as said land had been designated as a park in said Subdivision. After the reading of the letter by the Olerk,oouncilman Elllngsen moved that the City have a resolution drawn up by the ~lty Attorney designating said land as a Oity Sark. Said motion was seconded by ~ouncllman Sembler and the Clerk was instructed te turn it over te the Attorney. Garried. The 0hutch was given a permit to erect a tent for services on Mr Archle Smith's land fronting en South Central Ave to held their revival services. 0ouncllman Taylor reported a bad spot in the road where Palmetto and Cress street meet and thought it aught to be fixed.This comung under the Street and Alley supervision Councilman Sembler chairmen of that department said he would look into it. The clerk was asked te write a letter to the S~perntendent of the State ~ead department and report the sunken ppet in the road in front of Harry ~ehannen's property on U.S.Highway 1. · £he uouncil discusse~ ~r Hedfern's injury and the ~lerk was ~nstructed to take care of said case with the Insurance uompany. The Mayer and Council discussed the buying of gas for the'Police car and told the Council that oOhlef Adams reported that the car did net function properly when different gasolines were mixed.It was decided to try buying gas from each dealer erie month ~$rieds and see if thal would help. ~ 'A'here being ne business meeting was duly adjourned. ~lerk
