MEETING CALLED TO ORDER AT 7:00 P.M.
PRESENT: VICE MAYOR EVERETT T. GASS, COUNCILMAN FRANK OBERBECK, COUNCILMAN RICHARD VOTAPKA,
COUNCILWOMAN FLORENCE PHELAN, AND MAYOR PAT FLOOD, JR.
MAYOR FLOOD REQUESTED PERMISSION OF THE COUNCIL TO BRING TO THE FLOOR THE GENERAL DEVELOPMENT
CORPORATION DRAWINGS FOR ROAD MODIFICATIONS IN UNIT 17.
MOTION BY COUNCILMAN OBERBECK, SECONDED BY VICE MAYOR GASS, TO BRING TO THE FLOOR A DISCUSSION OF
ROAD MODIFICATIONS IN UNIT 17. CARRIED.
MR. KEN MILLER OF GENERAL DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION EXPLAINED TO THE COUNCIL THAT ALL WORK IN UNIT 17
HAD STOPPED AND THEY ARE REQUESTING PERMISSION TO LOWER THE ROAD ELEVATIONS iN UNIT 17.
MR. DARRELL MCQUEEN, REPRESENTATIVE FOR MR. ROBERT LLOYD, CITY ENGINEER, EXPLAINED THAT THERE WERE
A FEW PROBLEMS SUCH AS THE WATER LEVEL. AFTER A LENGTHY DISCUSSION MR. MCQUEEN SAID THAT IT WOULD
TAKE HIM ABOUT ONE MORE DAY BEFORE HE COULD GIVE A DEFINITE ANSWER BUT HE COULD NOT SEE ANY PROBLEMS
WITH GRANTING GENERAL DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION PERMISSION TO LOWER THE ROAD ELEVATIONS IN UNIT 17.
IT WAS DECIDED THAT MR. MCQUEEN WOULD MAKE HIS RECOMMENDATIONS TO COUNCILMAN VOTAPKA ON MAY 28, 1981
AND MR. KEN MILLER OF GENERAL DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION WOULD BE ADVISED ON THE SAME DAY AS TO WHETHER
PERMISSION HAD BEEN GRANTED FOR LOWERING ROAD ELEVATIONS IN UNIT 17.
MAYOR FLOOD BROUGHT UP THE QUESTION OF ADEQUATE ON SITE STORMW~TER RETENTION IN UNIT 17. HE WANTED
THE RUNOFF WATER ADEQUATELY RETAINED BEFORE DISCHARGING INTO THE CANAL. THERE FOLLOWED A DISCUSSION
INVOLVING THE AMOUNT OF RETENTION REGARDING THE 1st. INCH OF RUNOFF OR 1st. INCH OFRAINFALL.
COUNCILMAN VOTAPKA SUGGESTED THAT GENERAL DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION RETAIN THE 1St. INCH OF RUNOFF.
MR. MCQUEEN SAID THAT HE WOULD INVES~rC~E~ ~E~Uu~'7~TENTION INVOLVED FOR BOTH CRITERIA AND
REPORT BACK TO COUNCILMAN VOTAPKA. '~
